I just wanted to say that I've played the demo for the 360 for a week now.
Holy crap.
It's one of the best kart racers I've played, and at times even brought a tear to my eye as it reminded me of Diddy Kong Racing (my favorite kart racer ever). It doesn't get much better than this. The drifting can take some getting used to, but once you figure it out, good golly. That's some fun stuff.
I'll definitely have to save up some money for this one. Too many good games in 2010!
So, the demo for the DS makes it seem kinda... meh. There's no voice clips, the only obstacle on the course (crabs) was easily avoidable. The power ups include a shoe (booster), non homing boxing gloves, bombs and homing rockets (1 or 3 for both), traffic cones, rainbows (blockades of some sort), shooting star (for SS move?) and a bubble-like shield. It says that the game has:
20 Playable Characters 24 Courses 55 Missions And 4 Player Support
I think i'll be picking up the Wii version at some point. :3
ill be getting the Wii version and i predict this game to be better then MKWii.Well at least we are not too far from the release date.Im sure there will be friends codes for this game. But ill wait for the review from playr and wait and see what happens.
I officially own a MAME arcade machine.

I'll be getting it on the 26th. I'm on campus from the 22nd until then. I'll get the DS version for the rest of the school year. This summer I'll pick up the Wii version. Can't wait!

Well, I just tried the demo. It looks great. It's a little like Mario Kart, but the Sonic theme prevents it from looking like a complete knockoff. Definitely getting it over Spring Break.

Its a good game. I bought the wii and the ds versions. All round solid modes, decentish tracks and control reponse. I think the only issue is the frame-rate. I hope it doesn't get compared too much to MK because it deserves its own respect. I prefer it to Need for Speed Nitro though
The Wii Wheel motion controls style is "exclusive" to the Wii and that's all I need for exclusivity as far as I'm concerned!
A PC racing game without online multiplayer support? Yeah, right...how many people do they think gather around a computer for local multiplayer? STEW-PID!
Also, the game's awesome on PS3. Great online and no noticable framerate issues.

I guess you have a point...even so, it was nicely designed. I don't think Mario Kart really has any more creative vehicles available than this game, anyway.

@Swiket: I mean that SEGA was stupid to program the game the way they did without online multiplayer support, because local multiplayer on computers is not generally considered convienient as far as I know.
