Does Nintendo have any future plans to bring the game PLANTS VS ZOMBIES to the WII U? I would love to see this happen..

there is a DS version. I wish they would have put PvZ: Garden Warfare on it. It's a great twist and has entertaining and unique gameplay. PvZ 2 is sadly on the apple store.

You should be asking EA this, and their answer will be no.

If they haven't already then I don't think they will. Besides its not all up to Nintendo its up to EA as well.

And I am not sure if you know but you posted this in the suggestion section of the forums. Nintendo Life is not at all affiliated with Nintendo.

And at this point Garden Warfare is done with. If anything is owned by EA, don't bother, because they're...idiots. >.>

I own both the DS and DSiWare version, and they're both great titles. Maybe it would've happened if PopCap was still independent, but I agree, we'll probably never see it on Wii U now that EA owns PopCap.
My PC is a pile of rusty cables, so I can't play Garden Warfare, but the idea never appealed to me anyway. I don't like shooters, and I just find it very strange that you would turn a strategy tower-defense game into a shooter. It kind of takes away the uniqueness of the franchise for me.
Oh well, at least I can still enjoy the original.

@TheTetrisGuy I can see it doing well on the Switch and it seems like it's perfect for Switch with the portability. However, especially since it's owned by EA, I'd take a good guess and say no.

@BezBot Ha, I deleted my comment just 30 seconds ago. I'm hoping EA could port it, if only to be testing waters. It's a great game, but it hasn't gotten a port in a long time, so here's hoping!

@Octane - I'm not sure I agree with you locking the thread in the Switch forum and re-opening this one. The Switch forum is definitely more relevant... This harks back to 2015 and the WiiU.

@zitpig Not really, since the game hasn't been announced for Switch yet, and we don't need a thread for every possible port that likely won't happen anyway. We can use this thread. It's from 2015, but it's a game specific thread, and I don't see a reason to close this one just to start a new one. Furthermore, we have plenty of ''Switch Wishlist'' threads where people can talk about what games they want to see on the Switch.

Eel

This is hardly a game specific thread, this was a "will this game come out?" thread for a game that never came out after two years, on an entirely different console, no less.

But anyway, you should've redirected them to the switch wish list instead in that case.

@Meowpheel This thread was requested to be reopened by email last week, so I turned this into the general PVZ thread.

I don't see why EA wouldn't consider it. I've never played or watched any PvZ, but it seems the Switch is the perfect target for reviving popular games from the last 5-10 years.

Ok... For some reason I was linked to the DSI PVZ thread instead of this one. Is that a me problem only?

But anyway yeah I loved the original garden warfare and PVZ 1 and 2. It likely wouldn't take to much to port GW2, it doesn't seem to intense at least for graphics and it would take no effort to port the original PVZ. And as far as PVZ 2, it COULD happen but I kind of doubt it given how many microtransactions there are (even though they all very much optional.)
