I used to skip right through games like Warcraft (the first one, not WoW). Now, I almost never use them.
However, I just discovered two games that I'm definitely using them on.
The Lion King (SNES)- the secret options menu has a level select and an invulnerability option. I can skip the annoying Can't Wait to Be King level (try the ostriches, and you'll see what I mean).
Aladdin- I can skip right to inside the lamp, avoiding the annoyingly hard Cave of Wonders.

I don't even know any games that actually have any codes anymore, other than GTA or course. It wouldn't be GTA without flying car and invincible cheats.

I used to always use the EELNATS cheat code for Spiderman 2. I loved that game.
