@slapshot: yeah, I got the japanese version. as of now, there aren't any plans to release it in the west on the PS3, and there were a few reasons given (the game uses a special version of AHP that would require complete redux for other places, sony's too lazy to fix it up for us and stuff liek that). Since they also said the PSP version wasn't being localized for the west, I'm guessing the HD ver will come to Vita in other places :3
@fuzzy: yeah if you have the japanese PSP game (MHP3rd) you can transfer safe files back and forth between the two.
Edit: The models themselves look great in 1080p (better than MHT imo), but some of the 2D pixely art was obviously untouched from the PSP version. It also plays very smoothly , and the dual analog is great. Of course both of those things I probably noticed 'cause I just came from playing MHFU.
Edit2: One of the major upgrades from MHT is the crisp clear readable words and such. In Tri it was hard to tell between different letters, now it's perfectly easy to make out... the japanese symbols ;___;
@Waltz - all my crap-talking of Warriors game aside (just seem average to me--always have), the RPG flavor of Trinity Zill Oll is definitely the one that appealed the most to me. My biggest reservation was the fact that the game just didn't look that great (lots of recycled enemies, kinda last-gen dungeon design/textures/poly count) but the battle system and in-town interaction was rather awesome (loooved the old dungeon-crawl style town-made-of-stills. <3)
Game I'd pick up if it got cheap...but that prob won't happen.

The only thing that really bugs me about this game is how linear the dungeons are. This is a dungeon crawl of the truest sense of the world, and as someone who enjoys the open battlefields and approach to objectives of Samurai Warriors, this makes it feel somewhat limited. I love the scale of some of the bosses though (the Hydra especially), and the game is seriously challenging on this high difficulty levels.
But yeah, if Warriors games don't do much for you, then this one isn't going to be worth full price.
I picked up a few games over the week anyone wants to game soon hit me up
-Brink (ps3) -Call of duty Classic (psn) -Fancy pants adventures(psn) -Gamocracy One - Legend of the robot (minis) Breath of fire 4 (ps1) Rapid angel (psone imports)
I recommend every last one of these with an exception of brink, id wait til the 20$ price drop for it. Its a great co-op game but a tad short on the features and its mad short.

Its awesome man, Ive got it on both my ps3 and psp.I love playing it on the ps3. I cant wait for the next community project like this, the controls were tight the platforming was nice. I felt all the big effort put into such a small title.Im glad to support games and ideas like these. I wonder how well its selling? I hope it does good.

@odd I think it's selling pretty dang well from what I've gathered up. It's an absolutely fantastic 2D platformer, with some really creative ideas that I've never seen before. One of my favorite little titles of the year so far, and games like this are exactly the reason I love Indie Gaming so much! I love what happens when you get a game over!
@tendoboy1984 Good to hear man! It's a great system with a ton of great game on it that can be found very cheaply. If you do invest in it, we'll guide you to the great games that are both well know and lesser know as well. Games like what me and Odd are discussing are games that so few know about that make PSN such a fantastic service. Just let the video do the talking: The first minute of the video is showing the games creation by the fans and the rest is the finished product. [youtube:5c19rXMupGs]
I've been playing the Resistance 3 BETA since it was released to all PSN users and it's quite fun. I'm having more fun with it than I was having with Uncharted 3 that's for sure.
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
@Avi - I almost like it. A bit too much "why'd the other team get to spawn in directly behind me?"-itis, but I had a fun little run on my roommate's PS3 the other night. Granted--Resistance (and FPS in general) for me are enjoyed most in their single-player incarnations, so that's the part I'm really waiting for. Really wish I could've played the single player demo instead of the multiplayer beta...but what can ya do
Still buying at launch, guaranteed. Best FPS series currently running.
