Topic: My Uncharted 3 Disc Won't Play!

Ok, I fixed the problem I was having earlier. However, I popped in a brand new Uncharted 3 disc and it gets stuck on some loading screen with a ring spinning in the corner while my PS3 makes a wierd noise over and over. I try to go back to the home screen and the PS3 beeps 3 times and turns itself off and back on. I looked it up and some website said it was a bug in the game with the newest PS update (I have the update) and Sony is working on a fix. Is anyone else having this problem? All my other games play fine.

I got Uncharted 3 today, and it's been playing fine. The only things I can suggest are to clean the disk tray and disk, and try turning the system on and off. Hope this helps! Merry Christmas!

I called Sony and the woman on the phone said that there's nothing wrong with my system, there's a problem with either the disc or the game itself. She said try putting in another copy. However, the problem is that Target probably won't take an opened copy. I'm not buying a new one. If Target doesn't take it, can Sony give me some sort of refund?

games should have some sort of warranty, and since Sony published the game, they should be responsible for replacing the copy if it's defective

I don't think Sony can give refunds for games that you bought at a retail store since they're not responsible for the defective game. And just try cleaning the disc and trying it again. I'm pretty sure it's normal for the PS3 to make that noise and have that ring spinning in the corner, but if it's stuck on that for 10+ minutes then the game is probably defective. At least try to take it back to Target and explain the situation if that's the case.

@ColorsOfSonic It spins for over 10 minutes. Is it a bug in the game or the disc itself? And there's no point cleaning the disc, the disc is spotless and had just been taken out of the box.

Called Sony again, they said Target would probably give me a new one, and if they didn't, Sony would give me a new copy.

I got a new disc AND IT WORKS!
