including "with source" in topic, and citing source, is epic win. This trend needs to continue.

No Wii U yet.... Not enough first party wow titles to pull me in yet... And Nintendo's got a ways to go to repair the damage done during the Wii generation.

Good news.

I've never touched Metal Gear Solid so it'll be nice to run through the original before playing that fourth one everyone talks about on the PS3.

Haha, that was surprisingly funny for a New Grounds animation. Only makes sense if you've played MGS1 though. Thanks for the links.

Don't forget that Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection is available right now for $30 and it includes MGS 1-3.

You really don't want that to happen. The NES game is horrible. There is a special edition of MGS3 that includes the first two Metal Gears emulated from the MSX versions, which are the actual original versions. I still haven't played those, myself, because I got that trilogy pack, which unfortunately does not include MG1 & 2, just the Solid trilogy.

I also bought the MGS Trilogy first and found out that MGS 3 Subsistence included a bonus disc with some extra content including Metal Gear 1 & 2 for MSX. So, I went out and bought a used copy of MGS 3 Subsistence for the bonus disc. I think the games are pretty good and if you're a fan of the Metal Gear series then I would recommend these games.

yeah, that's the only drawback, you need to have played before to get all the jokes. :3 As for funny stuff on Newgrounds, the Phoenix Wrong series is also pretty good if you've played some of the PW games.

Hmm. I liked the first NES Metal Gear (back in early 90s). But I hear the 'sequel' Snake's Revenge wasn't all that hot.

I've actually heard the opposite, Kadunta. Kojima himself disowns the NES original but says Snake's Revenge is actually pretty fun (though of course still very much non-canon). I played the NES version for a minute or two once, and it was not so great. Snake's Revenge looks fun, but never tried it.

Cool, anyone know how big it will be? Surely not as big as FFVII, right? If it's like, 500MB, I can get it. I'm not buying another Memory Stick anytime soon >_>

Popyman, it's over 700MB. Make room for it. It's great.

Don't you have a ps1 or ps2? By the way how can you get ps1 memory onto a psp or ps3. I can't put my ps1 memory card into the spot. It doesn't fit.
