Topic: Best Sonic Games Available for the Wii U?

Well, Sonic Lost World is one of my favorite Sonic The Hedgehog games, but everyone in the whole damn world says my opinion is wrong, so I recommend you try the demo for that first.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for Wii U is great, but it isn't as good as Mario Kart 8 IMO. It also helps if you like Sega games other than Sonic, like NiGHTS, Jet Set Radio, Super Monkey Ball, Skies of Arcadia, or The House of the Dead, as the game is more of a Sega crossover racing game than a Sonic racing game. If nothing else though, it might make you interested in new games.

If you are into backwards compatibility, I also recommend Sonic Colors. It isn't as good as Lost World IMO, but it is popularly considered the best Sonic game in the last few years. Any of the main-series Genesis Sonic games on the Virtual Console (Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles) are good choices too, though I personally prefer Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

@OdnetninAges I'd say the Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed vs Mario Kart 8 situation depends on what you want out of a racing game. If you want a great single player experience and a proper battle mode then Sonic wins though if you only care about racing and online multiplayer then Mario Kart 8 is best.

Because the plot in a platformer actually matters, especially one where the cutscenes exist as pure fanservice! Oh wait...

From what I hear Colours, SASRT and Lost world are all good (though the latter is kind of a mixed bag), while all the others are passable (aside from Sonic Boom, which is really bad)
The only one I've actually played is Colours (which I liked), so you shouldn't take my word on this.

I know you asked for Wii U games, but if you also have a 3DS, Sonic Colours DS is fun. Generations 3DS is decent. I don't know about the other DS Sonic games (though the Rush ones seem to be worth checking out).
