Must stop spending Recently bought notable new Switch shmups STEREDENN: BINARY STARS and DANMAKU 3 UNLIMITED.

Just got World of Goo a few days ago and have been having a lot of fun with it.

Picked up METAL SLUG 1 (already own X and 3) for this week's NL Arcade Community High-Score challenge 👍

@gcunit bought them directly on Amazon.com! They were on sale for 20$ each, after import taxes, shipping and handling I paid around 55 Euro for both, which i think is a reasonable price

I recently got Splatoon 2 almosta month ago I think and I already have over 150 hours in it, such a great game!

All great games. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Super Mario Odyssey are on my list, but figured I’d at least finish some of what I got first. xD

You must be lost...remember some of those might be hard to find and Scalpers will be waiting. I got those I liked and wanted. Granted I won't get to all of them but I play each little at a time to enjoy them. But some are collectors edition or extras that won't come back so even if you don't get much at least get the Collectors or limited editions.

@SwitchForce I don't think Scalpers are going to snatch up 4 - 6 month old games...

If you mean, how are the METAL SLUG games? They rank amount the finest arcade run and gun games ever made.

Or if you meant the NL Arcade High-Score challenges. They are loads of fun and help you improve at these games immeasurably.

Got Bayonetta 1+2 last week. Currently playing Bayonetta 1 and it's incredible!

I've been on the like out for a shmup for a while, and finally pulled the trigger on Danmaku Unlimited 3 this morning.

Gotta say, my first impression of it is... 'zzzzzz, zzzzzz'. I was instantly bored. Admittedly, I'm not au fait with shmups so I put it on Easy, and haven't given it more than 5-10 minutes so far, but the game seemed so monotonous. Little ships = main gun, medium ships = beam, big ships = long, boring beam hold. I couldn't tell when I was taking damage or not as bullets just seem to pass over the top of me without any impact animation that I noticed, and so I didn't understand how/why I died.

I'll give it more time, but if I could, I'd get a refund right now, and this is why I dislike digital purchases so much, because I can't. I broke my number one eshop rule, which is not to buy a game I don't know I'll like until it's on sale. Even paying just £7 for it I'm feeling burnt. And it will stop me experimenting with any more shmups for a while I suspect.

@gcunit sad to hear you didn't like it! I think it's a really solid Danmaku and I'm loving every bit of it; I concede it may look not as varying as most classic SHMUPs.

@Lroy I also picked up Enter The Gungeon this week, I mostly used gold points that were about to expire. It’s so addictive.

The trouble is I now want Steredenn and The Blinding Of Isaac too. The latter of which I hope (but doubt) is part of Nintendo’s Spring sale.

Pay day can’t come soon enough.

Splatoon 2 is easily in the top 3 most fun multiplayer games I have ever played on any system. It genuinely surprised me with how good it is. Just my two cents.

I am referring to Collectors and Limited editions version with extras not the regular box game versions.
