Looking through Reddit I saw a member bring up 2K's possible confirmation WWE will not release on the 17th like other versions. After checking it out myself I found the post mentioned and well see for yourself.
If this is true and the Switch version isn't going to be released on the 17th or atleast a Physical version similar to NBA2k, what are your thoughts on this?
No surprise. It probably entered development last, and is still being QAed. Hopefully they learned from NBA and won't release the physical copy until it's working.

It's a little odd though when you see images such as:
@Nintendoforlife That's actually the first thing I've ever seen with the 10/17 release date. All online retailers and the official site say by the end of the year. I'm starting to wonder if there's a cartridge shortage going on though, with Sine Mora EX, NBA 2K18, WWE 2K18, and 88 Heroes all not shipping on time.
@link3710 That may be a possibility, but it could just be due to unfamiliarity with the product. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe any of the companies above have used cartridges with their games before. It could be an entirely new process for them in terms of shipping.
People just assumed it was launching the same time as the other versions, when it was initially announced for the Switch they had to send an update to the announcement on the same day stating it was a fall title and not Oct.
@Nintendoforlife Both Nordic Games and 2K published on the 3DS, so I don't think cartridges in general would be the issue. Switch's specific cartridges may be, it's hard to say.
