Also does anyone have info on Tennis World Tour? Has it already been released? I haven't found a copy yet and am looking to snag a copy. I hear bad things but it's for collection purposes.
Does anyone else wish SuperRare offered an Economy Shipping option? I feel like the express shipping is just so steep
You know, it's funny - I sent them an email just last night, telling them that if they do not change their pricing (specifically, their shipping), they are going to start to lose the more dedicated buyers of their games. When I pre-order these games and consistently get clipped over $11 each time for shipping - and then I see them list a "4 game bundle" which would have saved me $50 in wasted shipping charges I've paid, I begin to question the need to pre-order any of their games... ...and if a serious collector like me is questioning the necessity of pre-ordering their games, what might a more "casual" collector be thinking at this point, about SRG???
I can tell you right now - if their pricing remains the same and they don't at least offer some kind of loyalty reward or discount program for their next release, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime will be the LAST pre-order I submit at SRG. I'll continue to buy their games, but I will hold my dollars longer and wait until the last possible moment, before placing an order for multiple games so I can save on the shipping. I'm NOT paying these fees anymore, period!
After a solid year of collecting for the Switch, I think I'm ready to pump the breaks on my spending habits. With Amazon offering their prime savings on fewer and fewer titles, I have less of a reason to preorder from Amazon. Smaller publishers (LRG, SRG, Play-Asia, etc), imported games, and NIS America will get the bulk of my preorder dollars. Everything else...can wait for 50%+ off msrp.
P.S. - my copy of Dimension Drive just arrived from Play Asia.
I'm in the same exact place - though there still seem to be certain weeks where numerous "small run" and "specialty" releases come out at the same time and STILL drain my paycheck at unreasonable rates!!
I've definitely tuned out most "mainstream" retail releases, for now. I still have GCU at Best Buy for another 14 or 15 months, so for these types of games, I'm just going to wait for the inevitable "bargain bin" status and then clean up with additional GCU savings. My sole focus is on LRG, SRG, NISA, SignatureEdition, and any of those smaller independent publishers (VBlank, ReadyToDispatch, etc.), now. I will also buy the occasional "launch edition" of some of the mainstream titles (like Happy Birthdays, Shining Resonance, etc.) - but that is it, for now...
...separately - I just want to mention that I managed to pickup my copy of Octopath Wayfarer Edition from Best Buy yesterday, and imo this is probably the SEXIEST collector package I have seen on the Switch, to date!!
I feel this is the first one I can confidently state, without hesitation: Worth every single penny I paid!!!
Yea that’s understandable haha. Originally I was going to just keep them for the hell of it, but I realized there’s no point. Then I was going to try to sell them for as much as possible but now I’m just at the point where I’m pretty much open to any reasonable offer lol

I see Tennis World Tour readily available for pre-order at Best Buy - scheduled to release 8/14. This is one of those games though that, even with my GCU I'm NOT willing to pay $59.99!! I will wait to see this one either price-drop or become elusive, before I commit...

I just saw that too on TWT coming August 14. As for paying $50...yokes! However after reading it seems it has flopped big time on other systems. Something about a shipment of 500k games...is that total?

Well, for BotW, I got an offer in a Facebook group I’m in for $275 so I’m not sure how you’d feel about that one haha.
As for Disgaea, I bought it a while back for about $140 so I was hoping to get around $100 for it plus whatever shipping is. I’m assuming shipping wouldn’t be too much since it’s rather small
Anyone still in the game, and looking to complete a collection; RBI 2017 is vanishing off shelves at a rapid rate where I live. So if you know places that still sell it, make sure you keep a close eye on it and its inventory.

Might have to skip BotW. As for Disgaea I could do it but it wouldn't be until August. I don't HAVE to have it, so if you're able to sell it before then, them it's fine! My next check has to go towards house payment which is why I'd have to wait til August. Don't hold it for me if you don't want to.

Same here. I felt the RBI game was something collectors should snag up. Don't think the newest one will do as well unless it was revamped a lot.
@The_Legend77 - RBI has always been the barest of bones for a baseball game. Like a traditional arcade NES baseball in a 3D realm. I doubt it will ever sell beyond abysmal.
That being said, it's been around for a long while, so abysmal may be just enough for them.
Okay! I have Disgaea listed other places, but it hasn't gotten much attention. Just let me know whenever you're ready to buy it and I'll let you know if it's sold or not, I doubt it will by then

Casual collector here. I have about 25 games so far and as for SRG, I will be waiting for "bundles" of the new games to save on shipping. I do not see the need to pre-order them individually and pay all that postage. I have no fear of any of them selling out so that they won't be bundled.
Tennis World Tour has been pushed to August 14th as somebody else had said above and also RBI Baaeball 2017 has 2 different covers incase some of you didn't know.
P.S. Firefighters Airport Fire Department in my opinion is about the worst physical game I think I have played on the switch LOL. I hope all the games coming from UIG aren't this bad.
Also, I realize this is kind of off on a tangent, but would anyone be interested in buying a BotW Master Edition or Disgaea 5 Limited Edition? They’re both open but in good condition. I’ve been slowly selling off my CE’s and those are the only 2 I have left, figured I’d ask here before listing them elsewhere. First come first serve though, I won’t hold them.
