@Moroboshi876 They've only announced 7 games so far for the archives. Pulling through the rest of their back catalog, you have to remove licensed titles (like Popeye), and stuff that won't be able to work on Switch (like Arm Wrestling). That leaves... maybe another dozen titles for them to pull from. If they want those 20 games spaced over five to seven years of the Switch's life then... we're gonna see a drip feed of a release schedule.
@link3710 Maybe you're right. Anyway, I wonder what happens exactly with Donkey Kong. I know about the Ikegami Tsushinki problem, but didn't they reach an agreement off the court for an undisclosed sum? If Nintendo paid Ikegami shouldn't it be for the right to use the license? Why, then, have they not released the arcade version of DK ever? Ikegami dropped video games industry anyway, it's not like they're going to profit from that game, not now, not ever.
It was only dead because no one else chimed in. I started this forum because im really into arcade and virtual console titles. I own almost every Neo Geo release on Switch. I also own all 3 Nintendo Arcade Archive games and some extra Arcade Archive games. I really enjoy them. @Moroboshi876

That being said, im with you. They are taking forever with the Nintendo arcade games. Like would it really be bad if they released 3 arcade titles in one week?? I would be down for one Neo Geo, One Non Nintendo Arcade Archive and One Nintendo Arcade Archive. @Moroboshi876

@Moroboshi876 I think it's more likely they'd just rewrite it themselves than release an emulated version with licensing issues. It's not like it'd be difficult, and they own all the assets. Heck, that's what happened when it was rereleased in DK64 it seemed, considering that one controlled slightly differently but had all four levels.
@link3710 Yes, but I'm curious and, at the end of the day, the appeal of these Arcade Archives titles is that the games came as they were (even display options are poor, allowing to choose only between a slim white frame or nothing), and going the DK64 direction would be releasing a "fake".
I’ve been curious about the Punch Out arcade version that dropped a little while ago. I’ve been debating for a while if I should get VS Super Mario bros, or Punch Out, and seeing how there mysteriously still isn’t a review for Punch Out yet, I was wondering if anyone has played it.
Just a geek that likes video games, and spends to much time playing Smash Bros. and Fortnite.

I would say get VS. Super Mario Bros over Punch-Out!! However they are both not bad. Punch-Out!! Hasn’t particularly aged well imo but its still has some fun to be found. @TheTetrisGuy
