This is great news, well happy about this. My mate loved the original, and was always going on about it. He was big into horror games and movies and Outlast hit the spot for him big time. Unfortunately he passed away in 2016 so never got the chance to play the sequel. I'm sure he would have loved that too. Can't wait to find out what he was on about when they come out next year.
Someone just uploaded the first 25 minutes of the game running on Switch. I only had a sneak peek as don't want any spoilers but I read the comments below and the uploader said it's a "great port, extraordinary in portable mode".
I'm just hanging off to see if it lands on the US Eshop today to save a few quid. If not I'll pick it up tonight and play it with the lights off.
Edit ; Just spotted it on the coming soon section of the US Eshop. It is indeed releasing today and will cost $24.99. Looks like I'll be getting it from the Russian Eshop where it's the equivalent of £16.66, quite a fitting number for a game like this.
Just posted this in the Switch thread but I'll put it here as well.
Outlast 2 will arrive on the 27th March and will cost £26.99/ $29.99. Strangely it will cost just £15.27/$21.27 on the South African Eshop, which is £3.50/$4.50 cheaper than Outlast 1 cost on there. I just bought Outlast from the Russian Eshop for £16.82/$23.18 which was the cheapest option yet the sequel will cost the equivalent of $33. Still cheaper than the UK but more than US. Multiple Nintendo accounts and a Revolut account is definitely the way to go if you want to save a few quid on all your Eshop purchases.
@DiscoGentleman They said on Twitter there are currently no plans for a physical release. The sequel comes in at over 9GB which may put many off from downloading it.
I really want this game but have been waiting for Yooka Laylee to go on sale. Need impressions of this from a couple users to see how well it's been translated to the Switch.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

Haven't played it but, it's full 1080p docked, full 720p handheld, and stable 30fps across the board.
It's basically in peak form.

Oh, I've met plenty. More mediocre games then bad, but not all good that's for sure.
I'm just really good at staying away from them.

Rather than create a new thread, I thought I would just use this one.
Outlast: Bundle of Terror and Outlast 2 are now available via Limited Run Games. The games are available individually and there are two bundle options.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
