Topic: new switch is curved

Just purchased a new switch like half hour ago and im going to return it as the dock bends inwards alot at the top. Ive noticed the tablet itself has a slight curve both sides so that if you place it screen down and shine a light it is visible in middle . Is the slight curve normal??

If the Switch goes in with no problems then I would not worry about it. It is not a tight fit as it is so a slight curve shouldn't hurt anything.

Not sure how the dock is curved though. Post a picture of your dock.

The dock is bent as in the penny test. Tryed it with a tiny uk 5p and it wedges solid 3/4 up. Its clearly visible. How do I post pics?

Upload the picture somewhere and post the link. Twitter, instagram, facebook, imageshack, ect..

Some people have reported this issue but was told not to be alarmed unless the switch itself start to act up. I would recommend turning it off completely while not using it or at least not have it run for long periods of time.

I cant imagine the switch temperature increasing after 2 hours or so. It should be designed to be turned on 24/7 and not over-heat. Il ask nintendo if the switch is designed to be flat or curved. They should all be made the same .
If im not confident with the answer I will return it to the store along with games ( as the dock is faulty to) and maybe look at purchasing one in the future. @Sir_Deadly

yea i am just goin off other people who said if its in sleep mode, it gets hott cause the screen will turn on and run. But idk if get gets hot like that in the dock. I hope you find the answer your looking for

@monty-gti6 That's real unlucky to get both a curved dock and console.I don't think you need to bother calling Nintendo to ask the question of whether it should be curved or not,they definitely are not.Can you post a photo of both of them?
