Yes. Later this year the Switch will become the market leader in Japan. It will hold that position until the third year of PS5's existence (2023-2024?). In that time Japanese developers will be focusing a significant portion of their development resources towards the Switch. It's easy to assume that as PS5 dev kits have been out in the wild for quite some time now.
PS4 development has slowed to a crawl.
So if you like jrpgs, buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Just look at Amazon JP and Play-Asia they are not making for both Switch and PS. So that isn't far away. The Developers are now seeing that PS isn't going to give you more sales and putting on Switch is the fastest way to make money. So where do you think they are going to go in the future now. Sony Censorship and CrossPlay blocking is helping them move more and more towards the Switch.
@Magician I mean, you're probably not wrong. But we still don't really have any idea what Sony is planning on doing for the PS5. It's not a given that's it's gonna be the unquestioned success story that PS1, 2 and 4 were.

Playstation consoles always have the most jrpgs so that's why I love them for that. The thing is I want to play only exclusive rpgs on switch because if they are ports I'd rather play them on PS4 for the visuals. Also I'd love to play more switch rpg exclusives in handheld mode. rpgs are really comfortable to play in handheld mode to me.
