I read it unlocks at midnight eastern time, and simultaneously across the US time zones. So 11pm central, 10pm mountain, 9pm pacific.

And now back to the shop i was going to buy Mario odyssey
and they changed shipping date again
now is not 11 november , now is 14 november
this is so confusing
should i preorder it.... i pay by cash on delivery so there is realy no risk
but if i have to wait for like forever

From the reviews I've read this game, is really meant to be experienced on the big screen. The much improved graphics and additional controls make it clear that's how they want us to experience it. Nintendo have always said it's a portable home console after all and going by their 1st party content so far, that's how they're treating it. Other devs haven't treated it that way of course but they don't need to, that's the beauty of Switch. It can be host to games best played portable and games best played on the big screen. Odyssey is clearly one of the latter. I'll no doubt play some of the game in handheld but for the vast majority, I'll be experiencing this beauty the way the developers want us to and a rare masterpiece like this deserves. Big screen, split Joy-con and a big grin on my face.

As for the reviews it's received. I have said more than once on here I was confident it was going to be one of the highest rated games of all time and that's exactly how it's turned out. An all time classic that will no doubt become one of, if not the best game I've personally ever played. I love Zelda very much but not as much as I love 3D Mario.At his very best he's untouchable in the industry in my opinion, the pinnacle of gaming and without doubt Odyssey is him at his very best. Savour even bit of it folks as it could be several years before we get another like this.

Anyone deciding to skip this solely because of a couple of minor motion moves that can't be controlled with a button. I can only shake my head in disbelief.

@OorWullie I would shake my head in disbelief, but my aversion towards performing motions of that type prevents me from doing so.

Head shaking is only one step away from waggle controls. That's why I've boycotted it, along with other such excessive movements such as laughing, smiling, and getting out of my chair. I'm a real gamer. A gamer's gamer. And no casual will make me move from my glorious state of perfect vegetativeness.

@Maxz You may want to stop blinking as well. You don't want to miss a single frame of that glorious 60fps ouput. Was that a framerate drop...you missed it, you blinker!

@Maxz And make sure you have your spectrometer handy. Wouldn't want to miss any particularly exhilarating shades of red. TV not capable? Screw it! Remortgage the house.

@Operative2-0 I don't think so. Was hoping to get a coin or two from that cactus but I got too close for comfort. That he keeps a few needles in his nose is such a funny detail.
