Topic: Impossible to pay with 2 players in Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics

Hello
We are trying to play with two players in the Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics but it's impossible.
We have two Nintendo accounts linked to the same console.
WE DO NOT HAVE two Nintendo Switchs, we have just one Nintendo Switch
We have configured both joycons as independent joycons, that is, blue joycon is joycon 1 and red joycon is joycon 2.
Those joycons belong to the same Nintendo Switch console.
We want player 1 use the blue joycon (for example)
We want player 2 use the red joycon (for example)
Despite doing this, when we run the game we only have the 1 player option and we cannot select the two players option.
How could two players play in the same Nintendo Switch, everyone with his/her corresponding joycon from the same console?
Cheers

There should be a 2-player option when you select Single System on the title screen. Does that not come up?

@mrmister I remember the review mentioned not all the games allow the half joycon multiplayer. I'm wondering if you're running into that issue?

some of the two-player games, for example, can be played on a single Switch using the touch screen. Others can be played on a single Switch with up to four players, each wielding their own Joy-Con. Obviously, this doesn’t work with the likes of Dominoes or some card games (such as Texas Hold’em) where you don’t want opponents to see your cards; these games can only be played with multiple Switch consoles.

Yes, it does come up but it is greyed, so you cannot select it.

Okay... but the thing is I cannot play any single game with the half joycon... that is any, zero... so I am confused at this point, perhaps would I need a couple of extra joycons?
That is 2 joycons for me (the ones coming with the Switch)
and order 2 extre joycons for my mate (in order to play with 2 players?)
Is that? or am I doing something wrong?

@mrmister You can only play with one Joy-Con per player, so buying another pair wouldn't help. I don't know why the option would be greyed out though, sorry.

I've tried multiplayer before and it worked just fine. Both tabletop and on TV. I tried it again just now. All I need to do is choose Single System and 2 Players. No matter how many controllers I have connected, the option for 2 players is never grayed out.

Then it occurred to me. This is the first time you're playing the game, right? When you start the game fresh with a profile that doesn't have save data, the only option you can choose is single player. Choose it and play until you get to the game selection screen (takes couple of minutes) and back out. You have everything unlocked now.

It's its, not it's.

EXACTLY and you are right. That is the only way to enable the two players mode on a single system. As you said, first, chose single player, set up a profile, play a bit, back out and now you have all the options enabled. I love Nintendo, really, in fact I decided to purchase a Switch rather than a PS5, everyday I love more and more the Switch but the design of this game is a botch, I mean the multiplayer options, I find it complicated. Just a message when you try to select the two players option, a message, telling you, hey first set up your player playing a little bit in single player mode, just a message like that could have solved the problem and avoided a lot of headaches...
Anyway, thanks buddy for your reply, everything is all right at the moment and I got all the options enabled.
