I'll take more games like Steredenn, Enter the Gungeon, Celeste, Layers of Fear, Rocket League and Danmaku Unlimited over games like Battlefield, Assassins Creed and Call of Duty every time if given the option.
With Game Maker now supported it'd be nice to see titles like VA-11 HALL-A, Samurai Gunn, Gunpoint, Risk of Rain, Momodora, Downwell, Luftrausers, and quite a few other games
Also, I forgot Skein was still in development. I wonder now that's coming along well if it will get a Switch release.
Stay safe, kids: Make sure to save frequently during multiplayer, and always use a stylus!
@OorWullie Have you played Hotline Miami before?
Would love to see both games make a comeback on Switch.
And of course, I'll keep repeating myself, but we absolutely need Nuclear Throne.
Spelunky would be great as well. As would Rogue Legacy.
Would love to see Torchlight 1+2, but we'll never get that. Same with TxK. But perhaps we'll see Tempest 4000...

@meppi64 I've never played them but I know about them and they look like my kind of games. Being a Nintendo only console gamer who sometimes follows Playstation news I'm not aware of most of the great indie games from Steam. The Wii U indies for the most part weren't great but the Switch has some crackers. My opinion of indie games has totally changed this gen. Keep em coming.
Release dates for Hollow Knight and Bloodstained plus a Hyper Light Drifter announcement would do it for me. Anything else would be a very welcome extra.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I think there's a good chance this showcase will focus on new titles, rather than ports.
There are plenty of ports I'd like to see - Into the Breach and Hollow Knight being the main ones - and I'm sure blockbuster ports will make headlines (Cuphead!), but the Switch is being flooded with the cream of Steam at the moment, so a Nindies showcase seems hardly worth it if they're not highlighting new titles.
King of Cards, for example, is new, even if we've known about it for ages, as are Shakedown Hawaii and Flipping Death - but I'm hoping for more.
I'm not excited per se but I'm of course going to watch it. Most of the indie games I've been waiting for have been released already. I'm just waiting for Runner 3 which just got a release date, Towerfall which I'd assume would come pretty soon now that Celeste is out and Flipping Death which I'm sure will be part of the presentation.
I've skipped so many indie releases lately, mainly because there have been so many and I can't keep up with them. It's great to have spotlight on some of the best ones. The one indie game I really want on my Switch is Spelunky. I would love the sequel too which so far seems to be just for PS4 and PC.
It's its, not it's.

@Syndrome The Cuphead devs have only said that it will never come to PS4, but they didn't say anything about the Switch. Additionally Microsoft said that they're open to bringing some of their exclusives to other consoles, so there actually is a slight chance of it coming to Switch!
Mario Galaxy is ten years old, and now I feel old.
@OorWullie I'm not a PCs gamer either. The only game I really played was Half-Life 1 multiplayer for about 6 years, that's pretty much it.
My eyes really opened up to indie games once I got a Vita, which isn't that surprising as it was basically indie games that kept that platform viable for many years as regular releases dropped significantly.
I played some indie games on Wii, 3DS and Wii U before, but that's where I realised just how important these games could be in an industry where the big western companies only seem to be interested in making the biggest "experiences" possible and try to milk everything as a multiplayer extravaganza with tons of micro transactions, and other kind of stuff that started to turn me away from them.
Now that the Switch is out and does an even better job of it, I'm buying more indies then ever and am gladly rebuying ones that I have on other platforms thanks to the versatility of the system.

Nope. Wake me up when there's a 3rd party Showcase and with NEW games.
Old or New games, So What ?!
Indies = 3rd Party.
THIRD PARTY, you know.
AAA or Not, Who cares ?!
Even some indies actually have AAA Quality in Gameplay, NOT AAA Qualified by Developer Size / Graphics or Newest Date release.
I'd buy Fez if it came to the Switch. Seems like a perfect fit. Same applies to Cuphead, though these two don't exactly have high chances of being ported over.
The market is so densely saturated with indie games that I have a hard time keeping up with the releases or even being aware of them. I've tuned out of the indie scene for the most part. Won't keep me from skimming through the headlines!
Hey guys, I forgot about Dragon: Marked for Death in my previous post.
It's from IntiCreates, the creators of Azure Striker Gunvolt and the Mega Man Zero series.
It looks really promising but we haven't received any news from it for quite some time now.
It's supposed to come out in 2018.
