I happily accept any DQ-themed game. This spin-off has some Monster vibes. Also, I'm glad to see the Japanese physical release for this supports English as...I doubt it'll get a physical release in the west. https://store-jp.nintendo.com/list/software/70010000038933.html

It looks like Dragon Quest Builders without the minecraft blocks and building. Which is totally fine by me. There was plenty of charm and exploration with the DQB games without the blocky environments.
It also has a ton of other information you probably didn't know about the game, it's been covering it since it was released and has sections about every bit in a neat format, highly recommend checking it out.
Game seems to be pretty good. In an interview the devs said it started out as a DQ Monsters game, but they felt they had already crammed in as many ideas as possible with DQM Joker 3.
But it's still essentially the first ever HD Dragon Quest Monsters game, just with a treasure seeking twist.
Handheld screenshots looking very good, btw.

@FishyS Reviews are mostly positive and from my anecdotal experience people that I know have the game seem to be enjoying it.
But if you're still hesitant you should probably look into the game more, check out more playthroughs and/or reviews and see if it's for you.
@FishyS Check out some gameplay footage online, and if you like it, I say go for it. I'm a Dragon Quest fanatic and love to encourage anyone and everyone to support the franchise. It needs more love in the West and Treasures has a lot of potential.
I am in the same place where I am very interested in this, but based on reviews which have broken down what the game is, I am not sure I wanna pay the entry fee as it is now. Feels like it should have been a budget title.
Hello. Where can I ask questions for Gameplay? I do not know how to activate the lost Station in the lower Level of the first Island? One does not answer and other is dead. There is no change when I wait until night. Thank you so much.

Began playing this yesterday. Put in about five hours. I like the aspect of the monsters you choose playing into your combat ability and overworld traversal options. However, combat is not great. Asking you to be a support fighter and leaving your monsters to deal a majority of the damage...is kind of boring.
But the exploration bits in search of treasure is fun and the progression tied to that system is interesting.
