Does anyone know if you can build an Inn in Chapter 1? I've made the basic one ("Grotty" something), but don't know how to build proper beds, or whatever else it takes.
Also, could someone point me towards Wheat please? I've heard it's near the Hammerhood Village, but am not sure if I've seen that. I think I'm about to close Chapter 1, and these feel like things I've missed.

Wheat is in the mountains of the blue portal.
Also, there are many rooms you can't build until later chapters.

Loving this game so much. I've played a good few hours so far and thought I'd progressed quite a way few the game, but then loading my save this morning realised I'm still only on Chapter 1!! Sweet
Anyone got any tips for exploring - like when you go through the first portal and venture out, do you build little huts along the way anywhere to rest/recover up as you cant realistically go from the portal to the otherside of the next map and do much all in one day?
I love the spin attack and have started mining now. Starts to feel a bit more like Minecraft when you are collecting metals and smelting etc.
Soooo many things to make in this game too, its just ace.
There's often half completed rooms scattered across the islands. All you have to do is place a few blocks and then you can use the bed in them. Because of that there's not much reason to carry the items to build a room to sleep in when exploring.

Cool - I noticed that as I built a shelter close to the top of a mountain and when I made my way down the mountain there was an almost complete stone building and even had a crafting tree trunk outside. Was literally 10 seconds from where I built a room! Never mind, I'll know if future.
I ended up finishing off the dilapidated stone one and knocking my creation down.
In the first section (overlapping tutorial" there's a large empty room on the other side of the sign post across from the first basic bedroom, where the floor kind of steps down into a lower part. Both in the demo and full game I built my 2-blocks high wall around it, put a door and a fire in, but it never recognizes the room. There's obviously some detail about how to make a room I'm missing with that larger space, but I can't figure out what.

Mine didn't register as a Grotty Guesthouse until I built up the entire exterior wall to the same level as the highest bit.
I beat the first chapter, and the one aspect I found frustrating was how little space you have to work with. I know you're encouraged to build up (and down) to fit in all the rooms, but I probably would have done well to just level the place and make it my own. It was also frustrating building rooms with dirt in the early stages too - no windows or roofs, just dirty brown boxes.
I had a quick glance at the free play mode, and it appears there are no such restrictions, so I'll look forward to diving in to that once I've beaten the story mode.
I guess I'm half-way through chapter 2 now, having got the second teleportal and done a few of the quests. With chapter one, the space wasn't much of an issue, but I'm finding with chapter 2 that the way I've planned this out isn't the best I could have done it. I'm now building on top of other rooms to fit things in. Just like with chapter 1 though, I'll probably have a rejig of everything within the town to make everything fit before the finale of the chapter.

@DarkRula
I ended up having multiple stories for chapter 2 and have built a second story for chapter 3. I'd suggest keeping things the way they are since you'll need a raised area for the chapter 2 boss.

Only completed Chapter 1 the other day, but instead of moving forward to Chapter 2, I got hung up on Terra Incognita. You get the Sabrecat very early and it's a great addition! Very fast movement, high attack power (by bouncing on the enemies' heads) and no falling damage. Jumping on enemies rewards you with "pixels" that you can use as a material to build items in 8 bit sprites. This is also how to unlock the (King) Slime lights (pre-order bonus).
@joeyac02 No, there is no online Multiplayer.
You can only share your creations from the Free Build Mode.
From what I've heard Dragon Quest Builders 2 will have online Multiplayer.
