Your replies don't really express much excitement.... I honestly don't see anything wrong with Switch's games...

@BlackKnight93 that’s great. I hope your happy. So will you be buying a switch now 😉

We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

@MsJubilee Gyro controls and generally just prefer the feel of the Switch Pro Controller over the XB1 controller. So generally if the game runs fine and content isn't missing I'll pick the Switch version where possible.

It's a shame really, if Microsoft added gyro to the Series X controller gyro controls could be normalized across gaming but given that's not going to happen (Series X controller is a XB1 controller with a share button) we'll see another generation of gaming where gyro is only really present on PC and the current Nintendo platform.

@Ninfan That is a problem that always afflicted Nintendo's games since ever: they RARELY drop in price...

@BlackKnight93 i ment the games on eshop that start out at around 10 euro, i think thats to much for them, that little shooter game utopia is worth about a fiver, but other ones like "galaxy champions" or "no reload heroes" is only worth on release about 2 euro each. i think nintendoe's own games are very good like odyssey and splatoon 2, but i am also sick of games i have to break my back to play, everything is made for the japanese market really.

@Grumblevolcano Fair enough

The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

I'm currently playing Watch Dogs 2 & Manhunt

@Grumblevolcano What are these massive genre gaps? There may be big franchises missing - especially in sports - but outside of those, I’d struggle to name a missing genre. There aren’t many realistic racers, but there aren’t none either.

In terms of genre gaps, really it’s just EA’s fault, because nobody else bothers making NFL or NHL games. And even then, there’s, er, Tecmo Bowl and Ice Hockey on the NES service...

Absolutley am! I think the switch has a stellar library thus far.

Software support for the Switch could end today and I would be fine with what we have.

Luckily, we've got three or four more years of games coming, so it's all gravy.

Definitely. Could it be better? Yes, there is always room for improvement, but it's really hard to complain. The entries in Nintendo's own franchises are some of the best (Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon 2, Smash Bros Ultimate etc) and the fact we have decent third party is great.

Third Party isn't perfect though. There's a lot of laziness, late ports, poor ports and inexplicable omissions (games that go to PS4, XB1 and PC that would no doubt run fine on Switch, but don't get ported for god knows what reason).

Nintendo's library isn't perfect either. Lots of Wii U ports, where's Pikmin? (probably coming, given the rumours) Where's Star Fox? Where's F-Zero? (Okay, I know that franchise is dead, but I still want it) Why was Mario Party so empty and why wasn't there at least DLC? Where's Metroid Prime Trilogy? Where's the Virtual Console? And if they're going to charge for online and offer little for that money, would it kill them to at least offer some Game Boy and N64 titles on top of the NES and SNES offerings?

But overall I'm more than happy. Most of my negatives are just nitpicks. The Switch is probably my favourite Nintendo console since the N64 and Gamecube and being objective, it's probably better than those.

@Krull Sports, realistic racing, FPS, TPS, RTS and stealth are some that come to mind. There are games on the platform but there's not enough to say the gaps have been filled and it mostly comes down to the 3rd party support issues. Nintendo could help the situation though by bringing franchises like Pikmin (RTS), Metroid Prime (FPS), more Mario Sports (Sports), Wii Sports (Sports) to the Switch.

Metroid Prime 4 is pretty much in development hell so I'm treating it as vaporware.

I need more sport, fps and racers. In the N64 and GameCube era Nintendo did a much better job of filling these holes. Now I'm relying on third party companies which have seemingly started to drift away from the switch.

There are more games for the Switch than I have the money to buy or time to play, so I'm very satisfied with the current library.

Maaryotyme

Too many games not enough time to play them all.

The Switch is currently my only console. With COVID still ravaging the US, we've been in the house a lot for the last few months, and I'm tearing through games like crazy, but still haven't run out of stuff to play. Every time I think I'm "caught up" I find something else in the eShop that gets me reaching for my wallet again.

The only thing I'm unhappy about: Too much crap in the eshop. The selection is incredible and the games I have played are amazing (mostly). I'm very happy with the games they have put out and what they have gotten ported/built for the system. But sifting through all of the garbage that shouldn't even have been made (cheap indie "games" that barely qualify as games, you know the ones I'm talking about) and the ones that are clear cash grabs and attempts to fool unsuspecting buyers into spending money on an inferior product can be painful at times.

The selection will never be perfect, because no one system will ever have every game that everyone wants. But with that standard in place, I'm VERY satisfied overall.

@Mountain_Man do you think that is sort of annoying, there trying to stuff us with too many games, where am i going to get the time to play all of 3000 games or even look through them on eshop, i can'nt win.

Losermagnet

I'm like 80% happy. I think the pain point for me is the potential compared to what's actually being produced. Nintendo is pretty rotten about creating new games in existing series, and creating new ips at all. This is only compounded by third party support that often comes off as "meh". Nintendo's created one of their best systems, now i'd like for them to get a bit crazy and take some risks.

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.

I have more games for switch then on my PC, Playstation and Xbox... I dont understand this question.. Best lil console ever.

Bolt_Strike

I mean, there's always more games I would like to see, but in general everything I wanted on the Switch has either already released, or in the case of Prime 4 is on the way. Insane to think I've reached that point and the Switch is supposedly only halfway through its lifespan.

There’s no shortage of quality games. It needs its unique Mario Kart, NHL and madden to be complete for me....
