Haven't seem anyone mention that "Year of Luigi" could be ending tomorrow and that a new "Year of" could be starting. Maybe "Year of Yoshi" with Yarn Yoshi finally getting more info and 3DS Yoshi out soon.
Other thoughts for tomorrow.
DS on Wii U. Its not something that was just thought of the day of the financial results. Could be pretty far along and maybe come out tomorrow.
MAYBE the start of the Nintendo App. Putting Nintendo Network, Miiverse, Eshop buying, and news on one app.
FInally. I know a lot of Nintendolife users got annoyed by the constant complaining of fans for a direct but we really needed some good news. I hope this direct is as good as it can be without taking anything away from the E3 presentation.

Ahh I love trolls sometime. I'm pretending that I playing Mighty No. 9, Shovel Knight, Shantae, and Hat in Time Beta on Steam. I made a lot of people goes "HOW YOU GET THE BETA!?" except for WayForward Employees. Go figure!

"Year of Yoshi" is totally plausible. The two Yoshi games you mentioned, as well as the rumored Yoshi 3DS bundle would be perfect for this. Didn't Sega come out and say that 2014 was going to be the "Year of Sonic?" That might have an effect on whether or not Nintendo decides to do a "Year of ____"
