Topic: Lost/stole 3DS XL transfer to New 2DS

Greetings

Almost a year ago i had lost/got stolen my 3DS system. A couple months ago i decided to pre-order the New 2DS.
It arrived today.

I set it up and tried to link my old account to it, which i was unable to do because the account is still linked to my old system. So that means i can't get my games back. I tried to do the transfer thing but apparently it only works locally.
I am at a loss here, i don't want to rebuy all my digitally bought games. So i emailed Nintendo about this as i read somewhere else they could help me remotely. I'm waiting for their response.

Just thought sharing this to the community about this issue in case the issue is not known.
I'll update once i get a response.

UPDATE: I emailed Nintendo about the issue and they resolved it nicely and quickly. They unlinked my account from my old system and i was able to link it to my new system. All digital dowloads are back!

Its sad this is a problem, I hope that future gaming handhelds have 4G and GPS built in just so thieves can either be tracked down, or the system's services shut off remotely.

I had my 3DSXL stolen, and I replaced it within the week.

I called Nintendo, explained to them what happened. The rep I spoke with wanted me to provide the serial number of the new unit and the stolen unit. He did something on his end, and I was able to log in with my NNID.

All the games I had downloaded were able to be redownloaded without paying for it again.

In short, call Nintendo. They were super helpful and the whole thing took about ten minutes.

My 3DS got lost/stolen too (and in my apt lobby no less) but I didn't get another 3DS til roughly 2 months later. Called Nintendo and got all my digital games back, but your saves and progress in those Street Pass games will be gone. Of course, that also meant whoever took my 3DS no longer had any of my games. HA! Better hope you have your S/N and/or NND info with you though, or Nintendo can't really do anything.

Ya, one of my buddies got a New 3DS XL like a month ago, his old 3DS got stolen a while ago, we told him call Nintendo and what not, and he got all of his stuff back! you just need to answer a few questions and such, and also make sure the replacement is from the same region or else it won't work.
