Hey guys, I just realized that Nintendo actually sells retail games on its US website. These range from Wii to 3DS and Wii U and include new as well as refurbished copies. My question is: has anybody bought any new retail game there? I want to gift a new copy of Punch-out! For the Wii to my gf, but am not sure on what condition the game will arrive in (eg paper case, open box, resealed plastic?) My general experience with store has not been so good. I remember ordering some game maps from them a long time ago (when they had manuals and maps for sale from NES games) for Final Fantasy and a manual for SMB2 and just getting fotocopies of the maps and manuals. I also ordered a controller for my N64 and got a controller (it was brand new) in a plastic bag instead of the usual plastic blister that you would find at retail. This was years ago. Anyways just wanted to know if anyone has bought a retail Wii game from them recently and ifthere was anything out of the ordinary with it.

PS. Nintendo is currently selling Wii Fit U with balance board and meter for $25. If you were on the fence about that now would seem like a good moment to get it.

Ok so I went ahead and decided to go ahead a purchase some new games from the NoA website. The games arrived fine, brand new and with the typical "Y-fold". They have some good games for sale there, many that have seen as steady price lately as the become more scarce on sites like Amazon or eBay. I bought Mario Strikers, Zelda Twilight Princess, Punch-out!! (all for Wii) and Mario Tennis for 3DS. Shipping is good, about $5 for all of them.
