So playing older games that you can't buy or even find on your PC is illegal? Also again, it's legal if it's from a copy that you bought legitimately.
Yes...yes by all means it is. There's the Wii Shop Channel, the 3DS/Wii U eShop, and if they don't have it, you can actually buy a system and that game and play it how it was supposed to be and is better played like. Not to mention the hundreds of other games in that systems library you just opened yourself up to. I would buy a system and game and play it like that, and give the money to some guy who already gave the money to Nintendo in the past, now granted it doesn't give money to Nintendo, but nor does illegal emulation. Decide what's better, illegal piracy (which is going against the state), or a console that will last years, upon years, upon years, of enjoyment and reliability. If you still choose piracy, you are honestly stupid, and the government will likely agree.
The early CD rom consoles (especially the ps one) are often very unreliable. Also some consoles like the 3do are very expensive and rare and so are certain games (especially rpgs).
I was talking about Nintendo consoles. If the PlayStation is so unreliable, if you cared enough, you could make sure it would read discs, because it's actually simple. The 3DO on the other hand... I would say it's one of the few times where I would say emulating is OK, due to a library of reasons.
That one copy someone bought paves the way for millions of free ones and lost sales.
Do you have any proof emulation had any impact on game sales?[/quote

The PSP managed to be a success so obviously your lying
You joined Nintendo Life 3 hours ago. Did you make this topic to stupidly argue and bicker to defend thieves? Also, he isn't lying, the DS had the same problem, and he's an admin. An admin doesn't lie.

The PSP had an abysmal software attach ratio. People bought the system. They weren't buying the games.
Anyway, you're wrong on all counts. Your argument has basically now become "It's OK for me to pirate games because it's inconvenient for me to not break the law."

And yet the DS sold almost as much as the PS2 so it definitely did not had that problem.
sighs Dude, the stuff is illegal. How many times do they have to say it? :/
Ever heard of fair use?
Of which this is not an example. Try again.
From the Merriam Webster dictionary site:
fair use
noun
:a legal doctrine that portions of copyrighted materials may be used without permission of the copyright owner provided the use is fair and reasonable, does not substantially impair the value of the materials, and does not curtail the profits reasonably expected by the owner.

Grrr! Stupid person! I was talking about piracy and flashcarts and what-not, not sales!
Oh so your a copyright attorney? You need to quit while your ahead dude your just making yourself look stupid.
It's called research. Something you obviously you don't do.
Your "research" was citing an irrelevant lawsuit from 1992 and posting a dictionary definition. If you were writing an 8th grade Social Studies paper, you would fail.
