We all know the good guys in gaming and what they do. Save the princess, defeat the evil turtle/pig lord. Get all the food in dreamland back, defeat the evil penguin. Save the Lylat system, defeat the evil brain thing. But why don’t we turn things around here? Leave your opinions of you favourite villains in gaming and why you appreciate and like them.
Wait, why do we need a signature? Eh, I don’t know. Here’s your signature.
Most of my favorite villains come from the Ace Attorney series, but the majority of them are spoilers so I won't comment on them now.
Instead, I wanna highlight Skull Kid/ Majora/ The Moon from Majora's Mask. Skull Kid is definitely one of those "villains" that really doesn't have much of a motive, instead, he's just a kid that likes to cause mischief. But Majora's Mask really exaggerated those feelings and led to him causing a ton of destruction, namely, attempting to crash the Moon into Clock Town. I just appreciate this villain for its relative simplicity. It doesn't really have much of a backstory or anything like that, it's just a purely evil being that wants to cause destruction.
Also, GLaDOS from Portal is just a really fun antagonist. She has some amazing dialogue and definitely feels like a threat, especially in the first game and the first half of the second game. She's not much of a "villain" per se, rather she just feels like a pretty big threat. But her character changes over the course of the second game and has some great moments then as well, which to me, is a great characteristic of a villain.

That freaking GIANT Sword monsters with father (Barthandelus) + mother (Minerva) + son (Orphan).
I know he's been overused as of late, but I'll always love how unrelentingly cruel Ridley from the Metroid series is. Killing Samus's parents wasn't enough, he just keeps coming back to haunt her out of nothing but sheer determination and sadism. Even in his tamer appearances, it feels like Ridley is there just to ruin Samus's day half the time.
@TheBigBlue
Ridley should of come back as a final boss in the boss rush mode. He is not dead if I don’t want him to be
just like quirrel HK
porky (earthbound) is probably the best villain in video games (would be even better with cut content included) at least in my opinion. Just a brilliant analogy for capitalism. Also we get to see a nine year old go absolutely insane. Also fassad is the worst and the only irredeemable character in the series. Even gyigas was somewhat redeemable because of what George did.
In conclusion I am absolutely obsessed with earthbound no game has had that much of a impact on me and my mental health.
I fear no man
but that thing:
The carrot minigame from bowser's inside story
it scares me
I actually sent Nintendo a fan letter of appreciation for Pandora and how much I fleshed her out in my imagination despite her Amazon form only getting like two minutes of screentime (depending on how long the battle takes). Sadly, either I sent it to the wrong building or they don't do creative responses anymore, because I sent it in January and I still haven't got any letters back, unlike the guy who asked if a Panel de Pon release on Switch is possible or the girl who had a crush on one of the Fire Emblem heroes in the "waifuism" subreddit.
Easily my favourite villains in games come from the Xenoblade series. I feel it's one of the series' biggest strength, in all 3 games, but I do want to highlight Metal Face from Xenoblade 1. He feels so threatening and every fight with him is fun and memorable. That 2nd encounter still gives me goosebumps thinking about it. His voice actor also does a phenomenal job
Speaking of memorable, her from Danganronpa. If you've played the games, you already know who I'm talking about. I have no choice but to stan
