Rarghhhhhhh Metal Rock on Corbie dude. Rarrghhhhhhhhhhh

What's this bit for again?

I agree that Radiohead is overrated but are still great just not that great and yes they and the Peppers are bit ""soft"" I enjoy them but im more into harder stuff.
Speaking of "superbands" I do like One Day as a Lion but they coud stand to be a bit more like Zack de la Rocha's old band.

Exactly . It's all good dude Never understood people who argue about musical tastes. Variety is the spice of life after all. Oh and there is a couple of RHCP songs I like I'll admit, it's just that I find them a bit samey after a while. Careful with that grater man

It annoys me too when people are narrow minded and dismiss all music apart from that of a few bands they like as shizzle. I like to keep a open mind and am into a wide variety of music from dance/trance to rock/metal, I can recognise if music is good even if I don't enjoy it myself and wouldn't brand music as rubbish just because I don't like it, that is unless of course it IS rubbish

I wouldn't take it for more than it is; Thom's blog post is just saying that these are the people who will be performing some of his Eraser and other solo tracks live with him. They're his backing band so that he can perform these songs he's already written and released. I very much doubt that Flea and Thom are going to head to the studio and start working on original material in any form.

EDIT: Also, whichever mod edited my post and screwed with my username is indeed the most overrated mod of the past decade. I decree this.

I wish I could be like you, but I just can't. There's some stuff that I just can't force myself to take seriously like Country or Screamo (or whatever they call it), but I try not to bash people based on musical taste. Everyone has different tastes, and you can't help what you like. Some people can't stand Radiohead, for example, and since I can't change people's tastes there's no point in yelling at them for not liking them.

And as for the Chili Peppers, they've got some good songs but I like someone else here said, it's all quite samey.

@Warioswoods
I'm surprised to hear you of all people say that

You've never heard of Radiohead or the Red Hot Chili Peppers? How old are you, 10?

Hey! That Chicken must have edited me! Could have been Corbie and his Radiohead opposition but I think it was Chicken's work. I also blame him for the "OK Computer" user.

I am 16, and I know who the Chili Peppers are, I just don't care for that category of music.

I think I'll just reiterate that Radiohead is easily the most innovative band of the past decade.

Because I don't like having things edited to say the opposite!

FATEM

Well it sounds interesting but I'll just keep with classic Radiohead for all my Thom Yorke needs.

I much prefer the RHCP to Radiohead. Just don't care for Radiohead's droning approach to music even though they do have a few songs that I like. One of the main reasons I started disliking them was how much Thom Yorke seems to love Thom Yorke in interviews. I hear Thom Yorke thinks Thom Yorke is pretty awesome. The rest of his band? Eh, Thom York thinks they're O.K, but doesn't want to go to the effort of replacing them. Thom Yorke does think the lead singer stands out, though!

Ha, I like how this has turned into RH vs RHCP. I shall play along, so as to fit in. I much prefer the Chili's, I first saw them live when I was 15/16ish at WOMAD, which is a while ago now. Radiohead on the other hand, make me want to sleep, forever. Should be interesting to see how they combine. RadioPepper?

Rawr!

Magi

I like neither, which means I'll probably skip listening to this latest combined endeavor.

Lol Chicken is on a anti-radiohead rampage lately! And yeah I'm pretty sure he's to blame for that OK Computer user as well.

I think they're mostly going to be playing Thom's solo album stuff, but who knows maybe they'll do some new material.
