@Santa: um....I don't know if you know this but he is iconic enough. If I'm not mistaken, He appeared before Mickey did, he is mostly known for surreal humour which is something that Disney doesn't do (like using his tail as an umbrella for example) and for crying out loud, he even has a game by Hudson Soft which looks really solid.....
Heck, even twisted tales is freaking amazing for its time......surely Dreamworks knows this by now.
@Socar I wasn't talking about the age of the character, I was talking about his relevance.
At this point he just isn't relevant enough to do anything with; it'd be to much of a gamble on the Studio's part. Now if Disney does a new Mickey film it'd be possible, but Mickey hasn't been in a starring role for years.
But who knows, I'm not a focus group- they could do whatever the heck they want.

.....then why buy the character in the first place????
It's standard Hollywood, they buy an IP start devleoping for it just to get lost in the shuffle. Dreamworks has spent hundreds of millions on Media Classics years ago but have only made Mr. Peabody & Sherman whilst sitting on the likes Noddy, Casper, Turok, Where's Waldo/Wally etc.
It's probably for the better as Dreamworks make rubbish cartoons, although How To Train Your Dragon wasn't bad and Wallace & Gromit was more down to Aardman than Dreamworks.

What are you talking about? Dreamworks does make great movies....its just not a lot memorable like Disney.
Also, its still bad because no one can use Felix unless Dreamworks is fine with it....oh well...atleast Popeye is public domain.
