I thought that you got one of the dragons and then near the end you get an item that lets you merge them.

I told you he kept the dragon at the end of the first game and I told you the dragon gets fused (which you should know by playing the previous game and looking at the cover, respectively) What I never told you is if he is in control the dragon when it gets fused or if something happens to N.
