Topic: OhmyGod! No waaaaay!

It's a poor system that rarely actully works but it does try. for example I normally never see anything other then ad's for amazon but one day I came hear right after checking my e-mail and at the log-on screen theirs was a news peice about white teeth or something and when I came hear the only ad's I saw wear about teeth whiteing.

Adblock and Noscript work wonders. Sorry, Google, no data collecting for you. I really can't fathom why so many people decline to use stuff like it. There's just no other browser that can compare to Firefox's flexibility and feature-set.

@Vendetta: good luck in catching up with all your IRL stuff. I know this place gives me trouble with that too.

@longtimegamer: speaking of Chef Ramsay, did you watch the premiere of Hell's Kitchen the other day? this is already shaping up to be an awesome season

Firefox users: Adblock Pus. It also makes Internet twice as fast. Ads disappear and have no effect onto your NL experience. Its free too!

@Theblackdragon- I've mostly watched some of his Kitchen Nightmares shows. I've seen at least part of an episode of Hell's Kitchen. I don't have cable at the moment, but when I did I didn't have BBC America, Just the ones on demand and HK was the only show I saw of his there, but I love that show. It's inspiring to (to me at least).

Oh, those teeth whitening ads! For me, they're all over EVERYWHERE, and I don't even give a crap! Stupid ad following program thingies...

I do also see a lot of Evony ads around here, which I find funny because it started shortly after my dad told me what a crap game it is (in some detail, as he'd been dabbling with it recently).

And yes, this emoticon ad is EXTREMELY annoying. I've only seen it once thus far, though. There was one on Galbadia Hotel a while back that showed up on EVERY PAGE! That was obviously WAY worse than this.

I have AdBlockPlus, and despite some rather huge bare spots on IGN I really like it. Sites tend to load faster.

@longtimegamer: sorry, i should've specified that I'm talking about the US version, which is on Fox. I love the British version of Kitchen Nightmares (the American version has waaaaaaay too much hyped-up drama and BS to be honest), and The F Word is probably his most interesting show IMO, considering we get to see him largely not screaming profanities at people for a change

@Stuffgamer1- I've seen the evony ads here too. So this is a game? When I saw one of their (Illustrated?) ads I thought it seemed that it could be a game, then I saw another ad here that seemed like something else for lonely guys or something.

Just don't believe the crap they say about their game on the page in that link, huh? If you actually want to make any decent progress in the game, you're gonna be paying out the butt for "optional" in-game stuff. Not cool.

Also, Stuffgamer1, that kind of thing is pretty common among 'free' online games -- if you want awesome stuff or customizeable extras, you'll have to pay for them. It goes with the territory.

This one does it worse, though. You can't even progress through the main game without shelling out cash unless you want to waste eons trying to earn the correct medals, because this game is definitely programmed to give you only the ones you don't need at the moment (worse than most games always seem to). I know that's a common thing with "free" webgames, but believe me, few if any are this bad.

@longtimegamer: Fox carries it, so whichever station is Fox in your area (in Central Florida it was channel 35, here where I'm at in NC it's channel 50) should have it on Tuesdays at 8 or 9 pm.
