Actually, not really, Blaster. I found the SMB one for $35 on Ebay. I mean, it's good money, don't get me wrong, but nothing to write home about.

I know this isn't really on topic, but what kind of board games do you like to play? I like to play games like the Settlers of Catan, Carcassone, Alhombra, Munckin, etc. Do you play any of these games? If not, what board games do you like to play?

The only one I've played was Catan. I played it once, and it wasn't really explained to me well. No one at the table was getting into it except the guy who owned it, and I left with a bad impression.

My favorite board game is Cosmic Encounter. I have played tons of games of that and am a member at the online site where I used to play everyday. It was probably the number one reason I was able to stop playing Nintendo for so long and not shed a tear about it. It's unfortunately not popular online anymore, but there's a new edition of the board game out that is really good and selling well.

I also love Dune and every other game I've played by Eon, the makers of Cosmic. I play Dune on a forum that I help run, though I'm thinking of calling it quits after our current twelfth game because it is time consuming to play long board games by forum.

Cosmic is the only game I currently play due to few friends being into board games, but I played a lot of games in high school: Stratego (also Ultimate Stratego and Stratego Legends), Risk 2210, Axis and Allies, and probably others I've forgotten. I'm also a huge fan of chess and other classical games from around the world (shogi, xiang qi, go). I even have a variant of chaturaji (four-player chess) that I made but haven't tested a full game of yet.

I own quite a few card games, too, but I'll leave those out for now since that's not exactly what you asked, though I often lump the two types of games together as tabletop games.

@Stuffy I believe someone did make a board game thread before, but it saw very little action. I could be misattributing this to the pen and paper role-playing thread, though.

@Adam: Here's a video about that Zelda board game:

Pretty entertaining video, even if the game looks kinda "meh."

EDIT: He did mention Munchkin, though. That's a card game. Darned good one, too!
