Topic: How many languages do you know?

The reason latin is often considered to be the mother of all language is not because it was the root for all languages in the world - that would be absurd - but because it is, culturally, the most important language ever, at least in the west. Before the modern age, everything that mattered was either produced in latin or neo-latin, and if it wasn't produced, it was translated (from greek, arabic, hebrew etc).
We're writing to each other in Roman Alphabet, so...

I speak English. And that's it.

I sure do know Latin isn't the mother of Yoruba, my native language...

English(fluent) and French

English(native language) and some not-so-fluent Japanese, however I'm very rusty due to lack of practice.
