Topic: Help please! No sound anymore...

Hi all, I really need help with my girlfriends notebook laptop thing. She recently had Windows re-installed and there is no sound. Do I download something?

Thanks guys, only problem is even with that web address ^ i have no clue on 'drivers'

Can anyone advise on how to find out what one I need and where to get that one from?

@Machu: Thanks, I will TRY to find something... its so hard for me sometimes on PC's. For example this morning I had to get over 300 songs from an iPod to iTunes. Had to download about 5 programs till I found right one...

Computers are pains in the ass unfortunately, it is hard to give instructions over the internet as PC's have a knack for throwing a different problem up each time for no reason at all. If I need to do something I am unsure about I usually spend some time searching Google and checking out various tech help sites and after wading through some crap I usually get there in the end.

Thank you, I think the 'net is going to slow to get it anyway for me atm... will come off Internet Channel and Nintendo DSi Browser, see if it works on lappy then...

Just curious - is it just the laptop speakers that have no sound? Have you tried plugging in headphones and see if they work? And the most painful question, is the sound turned up?

None of these questions are meant to be rude btw, just had to ask.
