Topic: Game Crazy coming back?

I always preferred Game Crazy to Game Stop. Their employess were much more knowledgeable and nicer than the GS ones and there policies were better too.

Anyway I was saddened when they went out of business earlier this year so I was quite excited to see this.

Does anyone know anything about this like who bought them out or whats going on. I hope for Pete's sake Game Stop didnt buy the name and is going to ruin it like they did with EB. That would just be another thing I have against Gamestop.

Interesting... I liked my local GameCrazy much more than my Gamestop, so I do hope that they are coming back.

Now I am wondering as well are they going to have stores again or just be a Online only retailer like what happened with Circuit City.

I missed Game crazy. I got some nice games there. Hope they show up near me. We got a Gamestop coming in, after all.

Twins! (ish). Both domains are owned by the Hollywood Management Company while Gamestop.com is owned by Gamestop Inc. Apparently The Movie Gallery, which owned Hollywood Video and Game Crazy, auctioned these two brands off on or around November 9th and the auction was to be confirmed on Nov 15th. (bored to tears, yet?).

At this point, it doesn't appear that Game Stop has purchased them, but it's hard to tell nowadays.

@Magi: Yeah its so hard to tell nowadays who owns who, heck I just found out the other day that Gamestop and Barns & Nobles are owned by the same company.

It'd be nice if Game Crazy came back. That was quite possibly my favorite job and I miss my customers, they were all really nice people. I'm not gonna hold my breath though. (sykotek used to manage a Game Crazy)

I liked GameCrazy to. I had no idea they existed until we went to California for a while as I only was familiar with RHINO's which was driven out of South Georgia due to GameStop. However I never had bad experiences with GameStop as most of the locations I've visited had nice prices and kind employees. Anyway, I miss GameCrazy and I hope they will make a comeback with brick and mortar stores and not online stores like Amazon and Circuit City.
