... and do they live up to their glorious names?

Which titles really get your imagination juicing?

I bought Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies pretty much purely because I liked the title (though I did check reviews to make sure it was half-decent before I committed, admittedly, and I was only paying 'used' price, but I've never played a DQ game). Still haven't played it, but I like just looking up at the box on the shelf and imagining what riches await me. The box art doesn't particularly tie-in with the title, although there is some sort of portal on the front cover, revealing a glimpse of a starry sky behind the main picture. In some ways this is even better though, as it's that tiny hint of a fantastical world waiting to be discovered without giving anything away, that I really like.

Final Fantasy Grimore of the Rift has to be a strong contender here. I've never played the game but if anyone who has can explain why in God's name Square Enix called the game that I'd give them a medal or something. South Park the Fractured Butt Whole is the first genius one that comes to mind.

Ever since the changeover from Dragon Warrior to Dragon Quest starting with VIII, I've been a big fan of the English subtitles for the mainline DQ games, and some of the spin-offs too:

II - Luminaries of the Legendary Line
III - The Seeds of Salvation
IV - Chapters of the Chosen
V - Hand of the Heavenly Bride
VI - Realms of Revelation (Realms of Reverie in Europe)
VII - Fragments of the Forgotten Past
VIII - Journey of the Cursed King
IX - Sentinels of the Starry Skies
Heroes - The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below

The Lord Of The Rings: The Battle For Middle Earth II Expansion Pack: The Rise of The Witch-king

Love it. Would be the longest title ever if it wasn't for weird Japanese games.

Well "Mutant Chicken Races," is the first one that comes to my mind. The title says it all.

"Hamlet or the Last Game without MMORPG Features, Shaders and Product Placement".

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

A great title that references the core elements of the narrative and is long, but not convoluted or filled with made up words.
