@razor100000 That theme used to scare me so much! Then again, the entire game scared me. D:
I'll tell you what happened to me recently that scared the living daylights out of me. Or nightlights, I suppose. I usually sleep to video game music on my iPod. One night, I put on my freshly downloaded rip of Twilight Princess. Well, a few of the tracks contain Zant wailing, screaming or whatever. I had the volume up enough that it woke me up friggin TERRIFIED LOL!

Some more awesome Street Fighter music. Some of my favorites here. Simple Rating (SF Alpha 3) or Snowland (SF III: 3rd Strike) may be my fave Street Fighter song ever. I once thought as a whole, no SF soundtrack could top SF II. But, I think SF III: 3rd Strike may have done that! Amazing from top to bottom.
Simple Rating: Karin's Stage (Street Fighter Alpha 3)
Snowland: Necro & Twelve's Stage (SF III: 3rd Strike)
Psych-Out: Gill's Stage

Wow! This Nintendo 64 original composition sounds a whole lot better than the PlayStation version of the song.I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed recently regarding Glover. I really love that game, really I do, but I only played the PlayStation version, which I thought was good. But I looked up on Wikipedia that IGN said the PlayStation port of it was a disgrace to the Nintendo 64 original. It makes me wonder if the Nintendo 64 original is better.
Even the Nintendo 64 version of the overworld theme sounds a tad better.
Oddly enough, none of the songs from the PlayStation version of Glover are available on YouTube (as far as I noticed), which I find very strange.

Agreed. The SFIII: Third Strike soundtrack is total class and just adds to the atmosphere and intensity of the game. My favourites:

Not really. If we're talking just SF2 music, the Hyper Street Fighter II arcade music blows all of the console SF2 songs out of the water in terms of arrangement and sound quality.
And Chun Li's theme on the Genesis is way better than the SNES version, hands down. It's so much closer to the arcade version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-aWHftJHJc But still, I agree with Betelgeuse that the SFIII: Third Strike songs are quite possibly better than the SF2 themes.

@HolyMack: Ken's theme is my favorite SF theme. Period. But I by FAR prefer the harder edge that the earlier versions had, such as the one Kingbuilder posted. Yours just seems to be lacking the same spirit to me. That's my opinion.

@bro2dragons That's really interesting because the arcade versions sound like they have more edge to me - unless you count the noisy synth as "edge". The quality is much higher than either the SNES or Genesis versions thanks to the CPS2's superior sound chip. As much as I love the nostalgic Genesis SF2 soundtrack, I actually like the arcade themes better. Maybe it's just me though.

I think back in the day, I'd play SF II at the arcade as much to hear the incredible music as I did for the equally awesome game play! While there are deeper fighting games, I don't think any other, and few other games if any from other genres, hold as much nostalgic value to me. Could watch/listen just to the intro and demo matches for 15 minutes. Not sure how many times I've watched Ryu vs. Sagat demo over the years, LOL. Ryu, Ken, Guile, Balrog and M. Bison's themes are my favs.

@HolyMack: I fully agree the arcade versions are of undeniably higher quality... I just prefer the sound of the older versions, and the arcade seems a little softer. Just my ears, though, perhaps.

Could someone please tell me the name of the song playing in this trailer? I really enjoy this musical piece and it has caused me to have big fascination with the Final Fantasy franchise and the harp as an instrument.
