I personally like the messenger bag, I have one and while small (it won't even fit my 15 inch laptop computer, or about 33 cm for the Europeans who aren't familiar with the conversion rate) it is nice to stick a few textbooks in it or something.
Well, if you insist on getting only one of the two things you listed, then I would go with the star bag personally. My bro got it with his points, and he uses it every now and then. it's durable, and looks nice. :3
