Do you think we will get this game on Nintendo Switch Online NES in the future? They only released this on Wii VC outside of Japan and never made it on the original NES or Wii U and 3DS VC. Now that they closed the Wii shop there is no way to get the official release of this game unless they re-release it.
I hope the Switch Online NES gets some Japan only Famicom games such as this and others like SMB The Lost Levels, Earthbound Beginnings, etc. The ones we got so far are ones that have seen releases here already. If we could get some import titles it will make the retro selection much more interesting.
This was the last game I bought on the Wii Shop Channel, and it is a great game on top of being wonderfully bizarre. I hope to see it on Switch in some form, but who knows with modern day Konami.

I hope we get this game if not on NES app then at least the Famicom app. I was hoping to upgrade the VC copy on Wii U and download it on 3DS to take it on the go but unfortunately in both instances they were not released outside of the Japanese eshop. My guess is because Nintendo has to license it from Konami which was probably the same reason we didn’t get the classic and GBA remake of the Final Fantasy VC titles on Wii U and 3DS VC.
