yep, when your younger you play to death whatever you can get your hands on. But as for Mega Man 10.... its just not as exciting to push through as MM9 was. MM9 was so new and fresh but MM10 should have waited a few years IMO. I still havent beaten all the bosses.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Aw, I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist adding that FFXIII comment considering the topic of the thread, lol.
yeah, FFXIII wasn't Best FF Game I played. Still like FF10
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
The kids who have Wiis as their first consoles will be saying the same thing in two generations time when they're a bit older "OH, the olden days of the Wii/ PS3/ Xbox360 were SO much better" they'll say "Oh, I hardly play my new consoles now, I have far more fun with the Wii," they'll say.
that might be some of it. i think that i have drifted away from the way i felt about video games when i was little, but then again, im only 13

Games don't get worse. You get older, and your expectations rise. Like Token said, the monetary value is actually getting better, despite the rise to $60 prices on other consoles -- not to mention games generally offer more content per disc with each generation.
And for those like me who prefer fast, short games to the 40+ hour borefests that are quickly taking over, the indie scene on PC has tons of quality games for free, and all consoles have cheap downloadable services with similar titles.
I can't say I don't miss the NES days in terms of game design -- but then I was getting those games as holiday and birthday gifts, not with my own money. So I bet if I had been an adult then I would still say that times are getting better for games and perceived value.
Adam has me spot on. I like games that are simple you could say. i own many games where i haven't ever even started the single player or campaign, because i hate single player. the reason for that is that i rarely play video games consistently, like i'll play in short bursts of addiction, and then not play for a few weeks, or i will play one game, and get really far, and than just stop and play another game for a while. Since i do this frequently, i usually forget the story, and than get frustrated when i try to continue, so i start over and the same pattern happens. I pretty much buy games for multiplayer...... wait, than how did i like gamecube games so much... oh well that whole thing was pointless
but yeah he has me on with the short and fast games, because that is exactly me.
