I see that many interpret the "Nintendo Digital Event" as not being a press conference. Can't it (for example) mean a press conference with some additional interactivity for online users?

Very fun announcement video, btw!

Treehouse live I think will be the highlight for me. Finally don't have to watch IGN/Gamespot floor shows with their hurried nintendo content.

I think between this and the Tomodachi thing I'm feeling a bit better about what Nintendo has up its sleeve. When Nintendo are confident they fire on all cylinders and throw all of the curve balls. When they have nothing to show they retreat into their shell, stay quiet and start to fumble their way through these big events.

These last few months have had the best oddball promotional stuffs since Non-Specific Action Figure.

Some good Aussie musics: King Gizzard, Pond, The Avalanches
"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"

That's how I understand it. I don't think this rules out a stage presentation.

Let's turn the hype factor up a notch.....

1. Games for 2 Gamepads
2. Sega Remix
3. Dreamcast and Saturn on VC
4. Shenmue 3
5. EA back on board with genuine exclusives.

I think the fact they didnt say 'we are having a press conference', which they would have if they were going to, rules it out. If they intended to change it up from last year, they would have clearly stated that to let people know.

I don't like the sound of this, it feels like E3 2013 all over again in all of the wrong ways. Not having a press conference kills the hype, and that's something the Wii U desperately needs (right along there with a better lineup). Also, there is WAY too much emphasis on Smash here, and that really worries me because that implies that they don't have much else to show. And since there's a ton of previously announced games that we've heard virtually nothing about for months, I have a feeling that there's not going to be any real surprises here. It's probably going to be mainly, if not completely, games that have been previously announced (Bayonetta 2, X, Yarn Yoshi, SMT X FE, Hyrule Warriors, Sonic Boom) and games that have been previously hinted at (Zelda U, the Pikachu detective game, Mario Galaxy 3, maybe Metroid if we're lucky). And if that's the case, I don't have a lot of hope for this lineup. I want to see more surprises.

I notice a lot of people keep saying they are worried because they keep focusing on smash. You COULD all be right, but I have a (hopeful) theory that maybe they are talking about smash so much (as well as giving it its own direct) because they have other stuff they want to focus on at e3. As crazy as this sounds maybe they don't want it to get lost in the mix of Zelda U + whatever other stuff they show, and wont be focusing on it too much in their "e3 online presentation" itself.

Well, I guess I'm going to Best Buy, then.
