I think someone might be watching the disspointment of the day thread!
that place is a bundle of negativity made to dump your bad feelings so you can move on playing games(or help someone who's down), but if you go reading ALL the posts you'll end depressed....
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

Ice has a magnificent flavor if you think about it. Snake tried it and said it taste like gunpowder.:-)
There is nothing wrong with negativity every once and a while. If news sites went with their minds, trying to introduce ideas of their own, rather than repeating what the readers say, that would be bias journalism.
NL does love Nintendo, but that doesn't mean they have to blindly go through every decision without question.
This place has its ups and downs as Nintendo has its ups and downs. Nintendo's currently in (and hopefully at the tail end of) a down, so things can seem down around here, too. Once things are up again, things'll be all sunshine and rainbows around here like they used to be.
I agree with @MrWalkieTalkie . I couldn't quite notice what was wrong. I don't pop in a ton, but as soon as I came back this time, I noticed that things did seem more negative. Though I remember looking here when the Wii U was just coming out, and lurking around when the 3DS was coming out, and iirc there was a similar sense of negativity then.
It's just something you get used to on this forum- and every other- the Nintendoomed Cycle.
Just talking about certain posts in certain forums and news- I think the articles are more well made than they've ever been, from what I've seen.
expect things to get worse from now on. the "Console Wars" are starting again..... if you want to avoid negativism pick you favorite console and go play it. not even the NL forums are safe anymore(maybe the 3DS section is, because handhelds don't take part on the console wars)

I'm with GuSilverFlame. It's the console wars. And I'm sure, like me, people who read this site also read the others where people act like it's an actual war. They want to gloat or make you feel bad.
The recent Nintendo vs. the World threads are pointless tbh, the only thing I can see coming out of it is nothing but the same tired old arguments (coupled with a hint of personal attacks with a dash of flaming) we've seen for the past generations. Even if one party does give a convincing argument, I doubt the opposition will step down but rather will continue replying. It's best to stay away from such threads and ignore the "Fanboy" comments.
The problem is not the bad news or some critical Soapboxes that show up here once in a while. The problem is some people in the comments who blow stuff outta proportion and go all "DOOMED" and putting down even the slightly optimistic/realistic people. It's like it's their sacred duty to shove pessimism down people's throats since dunno, they like misery since it's confortable, "I'm right, you're wrong" mentality or just being complete jerks.
Let me just say that whatever sense you are trying to knock into someone similar to that you have mentioned will be tossed aside. Some people are clouded by what they think is right and will stubbornly reply regardless of the facts presented. That or they want the attention. Those kinds of users are harmless anyway and are best left alone so don't fuel the fire.
