@Jogurt, fair enough with the N/A issue, but did you consider what I said about naming them NTSC/US and PAL/EU, as those are the recognised "regions" by the games companies? Or would that not be acceptable?

@Stratos, thanks for your comments, I'm gonna ask some of the other staff about the blocks thing but I can't promise anything as I know it was alot of work to keep up to date. We still have all the information in our system. As for the "Others systems" panel, we've already made alot of work for ourselves covering everything Nintendo, we wouldn't want to lose focus and dilute our efforts, so that's not gonna happen any time soon

The whole NA/US thing isn't a huge deal in and of itself but it serves as evidence of a general lack of care or attention to detail across the site as a whole. Now that the site's gone through this big relaunch I like to think that there'd be more uniformity in regards to stuff like that, I know I'll certainly be pushing for it.

Anyway, two suggestions:

***Swap the "views" and "comments" bit in each subforum around so they're the same as they are on the main forum page

***Add some sort of private message/profile comments feature, so people can send each other message directly

Overall, nice work!

Speaking of regions, I miss the little flags under users' names. There is a lot of talk on the VC forum about games that supposedly haven't been released, and it takes me awhile to realize that the poster doesn't have the game because Nintendo of Europe doesn't love its consumers. It's also just a fun little bit of information to have. I like knowing where people are from in general.

Also about regions, on the front page of the site there is a sidebar with upcoming games listed. Could these be marked by region? Or is this all for PAL right now? It might be a lot of trouble, but it could be nice if the sidebar were based on your profile region. Seeing all these games listed for Friday is very misleading for me, though I suppose we can generally assume that PAL games come out toward the end of the week and NTSC at the beginning. Maybe it's not worth the trouble.

I'd like being able to have more than 10 posts per page, and when going to a thread having only the new posts shown, instead of the whole page they are on, is annoying.

How about a 'latest comments' box? I used it all the time on WWW on VCRs.

That's why you're still a kid.

re: the NA/US deal, Wikipedia already uses 'NA' and 'PAL' side-by-side (mixing the descriptors instead of using NTSC or EU respectively). I think it's safe to say Americans will be smart enough to figure out what 'NA' means in context, though if you did want to use NTSC, it would need to be NTSC-U/C (or NTSC-NA?) to differentiate from NTSC-J.

as for other suggestions, I'm with Digiki -- if there's any way to get the entire page instead of just the newest comment(s) when I click the number for the latest page in a thread, that would be awesome.

Thirded.

Also, I notice that DSiWare page is VERY pink. Pink isn't really an issue for me, but I personally find it quite a bright shade and somewhat distracting as I frantically try to suppress the urge to run to the nearest Mardi Gras.

I've noticed that some news items span across several pages. I don't want to make more work for you all, and it's probably just a temporary thing while DSiWare is in its infancy, but when I am on the VC page, I want VC news, not DSiWare+WiiWare+VC news. But in reality this is a minor issue. I just say this as when WiiWare-world and VC-reviews were separate, the NA () WiiWare and VC articles were also separate, which I quite liked.

I think its a great idea that you haven't tried to have more comprehensive Wii game coverage. There are plenty of well established sites in that department already, online content is your niche, don't give it up! Loving the new&improved site.

Hey hey, our colors are Green, Yellow, and Purple -- not Pink! Get it straight, or we're not letting you back in New Orleans next time.
Also, I like the pink. I hope that is not indicative of some greater truth about myself that I have hitherto been unaware of...
