Recently i heard about a meeting that the dev's at nintendo had. it was about using the sd card like a memory stick so they could have bigger games and whatnot. this seemed really interesting so i decided to share it with everybody. also its the only way virtual handheld gb, gbc, and gba could be possible im pretty sure. any1 have more info on it?

Nintendo has made no official comments of their future plans for the SD card for the DSi.
However, everyone, including users, critics and everyone else is yelling at Nintendo to let games be run from the SD card similar to what they JUST did with the Wii.
I still stand that it's my belief they didn't add this option because they are. 1. Scare of dem dar pirates! 2. Held it off to open it up a some conference so they'll have something fans will like without having to put money towards making something worthwhile.
Right now all you can do is save photos, flipnote animations and games to the SD card. You can not RUN games from the SD card.

Thankfully, the vast majority of those games could fit within DSiWare's 20 MB limit (perhaps they would raise it for the exception) so in the horrible, horrible case we didn't get better SD support, we could still store those games on our DSis. But if they would resolve SD support, they probably wouldn't add a VC so whatever. Who knows...
Also, (though it might be early to say) it seems as if pirates have defeated Nintendo with flashcards. They worked around the 1.4 update by disguising flashcards as actual games like Tak or Danny Phantom. You'd think the only way to crush pirates would be disabling the IDs of those games and that would disable the actual games in the process.
there wont be a virtual console secion but it would just be available in the regular dsiware section.

He wasn't calling you stupid, he was saying Nintendo's data management policy for the DSi is very, very, stupid (which I agree with). EDIT: Er, zss_shadow beat me to the punch.
protozone.quadrant, I don't think he was calling YOU stupid, rather Nintendo for making poor decisions and hurting their fans. I don't think Hardy would call people very, very stupid here.
also they have game & watch virtual handheld in japan and there are signs its going to be released in eu (their copyrights got 1-upped in EU) so far no signs in US

Yes. I was calling Nintendo stupid. Their handling of the DSi have been, in my opinion, very very poor.
And of course we're getting the Game & Watch and Electroplankton games. At the rate we're NOT getting games, Nintendo needs filler, at least NoA and NoE anyways.

It's not like i'm stupid. Also typing on the dsi isnt easy, let alone going to edit it after you've posted. I never really edit, replies like this just important things like emails. I'm in the middle of writing a novel and all of the other books i've written have been published. It's not like this a letter to the president or an important government official. Really it is not all that important that i make a typo. My IQ is 183 so I'm not stupid. Just talk about the subject please.
now i know more about it, i found out that it won't be avalible for a loooong time. Please, everybody minor typo's dont mean you need to go into conniptions about it.
