Topic: Double your myNotebook space

I just tested this out and it works completely. All that you need is two SD cards, although I recommend you not buy two just for the sake of this. The only flaw is that is does not really give you 2 apps on your menu at the same time.

(mN - myNotebook, SD - SD card)
Copy mN 1 over to SD 1. Then, delete mN 1 on your system storage. Download mN 2 from the DSi Shop (since you already bought it, and it is not in your system storage, the DSi Shop permits this) Copy mN 2 to SD 2. Now you have two different sets of save data for your myNotebook that you can copy over the DSi whenever. If you want to use mN 1, copy the sava data from SD 1, and the same goes for mN 2.

Tell me how it works for you, or just give comments on it.

I'm sure nnooo will delete this comment because its kinda like steeling.

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

Well actually, you have to buy a copy of the game for it to work and even then the number of save files you can have is equally proportional to the amount of SD cards you have. I can't imagine anyone with more than 2 in a household for that matter.

How is it like stealing? O.o You're virtually doubling something, like if you were to download a song on your computer and use "Copy & Paste" to make a second copy of it.

Oh, and great find almostnacho.

It's pretty much like having two save files for the same game, only this is a notebook app and not a game. I don't think Nnooo is really going to care, because if you want the extra space without all the hassle of juggling SD cards and save files (god forbid you overwrite the wrong one or something in the middle of all that juggling), you'll still have to buy one (or both) of the other two editions. :3

I was actually concerned about this myself. But, once again, keep in mind the cost of one myNotebook is far less than the cost of an SD card. Plus, I'm not all that sure about 3rd parties making money off DSiWare, thinking that it's just Nintendo's profits becuse they sell the points. BUT PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.

If they weren't going to potentially make a profit, why would they make the games?...

Blue_Cat

lol, why would other companies make things for DSiWare if they didn't get profit?

There's two ways a company can profit in a situation like this. They can make the game, and then say "OK, Nintendo. I'll let you sell this game for [this amount of money]." That way they get a specific amount of money for the game immediately.

Or, they could do this: "Nintendo, I have here this 500 point app/game. Every time one copy sells, I get $3 and you get $2 (or whatever amount)." This way, the company doesn't have any guaranteed money, but they make money as long as their product sells.

I'm guessing they use the first way, but I really have no idea.

The process of doing this far outweighs the convenience of the app. I can see some people doing this to save... lol 2 bucks, but most would probably just stick with one or get the other one. I mean 2 bucks is nothing.

Hardy, you are exactly right. The process of copying the save files back and forth is none-the-less tedious. But, still, I figured it might be worth the effort to try out.

I don't think it's worth the extra effort

Actually, nacho, I personally have like 4 or 5 SD Cards.

Wow. You might not want to do it with four, though.
