I really would want to have reverse compatibility to play GCN games, but no anolog sticks on a portable. So I came up with an idea like the blackberry it has a rollable small little ball with a scensor.http://chuckwarnockblog.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/blackberry-curve.jpg
That is TLinkerbell to you! [17:17] theblackdragon: considering i have neither an xbox nor a ps3 :3 [17:17] Corbie: Nintendo fangirl alert!!!! [17:17] James Newton: Uh oh The James Ne...
not sure if someone mentioned this or not but how cool would it be if there was a service to buy movies and be able to watch them in 3d like avatar or how to train a dragon
When the trackball is rolled, it only counts as one and it stops there if you stop rolling it. Analogs are different, even if you stop moving the analog stick (just holding it U/D/L/R or diagonal, the character (or any other example can be used.) would still move.
There's the analog nub on the PSP but that's pretty horrible IMO. Otherwise I can't really think of how an analog stick would fit on a portable device.
It could be a slightly smaller than normal stick that you can click and it'll pressed into the system and then you can just fold it up and click it again to pop it out to play.
An analog stick better be on this thing, using a D-pad on 3-D games makes my thumb sore. (perfect example being 358/2 Days. >_>) I heard that the graphics on this thing will be just as good as the Cube's, I'm hoping for this compatibility as well.
Backwards compatibility for GCN games? That would require so much hardware it's not even funny. Not gonna happen
I was thinking that the wii could get a update to wirlessly send it to 3DS but, you might say that takes forever. Just remember Wii play is only .33 mb of memory, the rest is just filler.

Now you are truly asking for the impossible

Uh...when the Wii accesses Gamecube games, it essentially "transforms" into a Gamecube (in terms of power and slot access, etc.) so wireless capabilities wouldn't be able to operate, presumably. Even if Nintendo allowed people to rip disks to the hard drive then send over (lol), very few Gamecube games would fit in an empty Wii's 512MB. It's pretty much impossible, without some sort of extra (...expensive) external peripheral.
Instead, I'll just hope that the really good first party games like Wind Waker are ported to the 3DS with new special features.
Nintendo is already thinking of adding a joystick to the 3DS for some absurd (but extremely fascinating and joyful) reason. Check it. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_3DS

I'm actually hoping for an analog stick...>_> The D-Pad is great, but for some games its better to use a stick than a pad. (KH: DS hurts my thumb, lol)
I doubt they're going to add a minidisk drive to the 3DS for GCN games. That would be a lot of wasted hardware. If one could download GCN games and play on the 3DS (like a virtual console type thing), that would be possible, but I don't see it happening unless Nintendo completely changes their stance on the amount of memory people need in a system.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
with the criticism that they have received regarding hard drive space and graphical power of their machines, I think it would be wise of them to include a significant amount of internal storage. As for them adding a GCN mini-disk slot, I don't think it will happen. Not only is the GCN 10 years old, but the amount of moving parts required to read the format would hinder the battery life (see the PSP 1000-3000 for a good example) and pose a danger to the life of the system. One drop and your laser would be toast. Also, my brother owns a blackberry curve. There is a reason he wants a bold instead. Rather than a trackball, the bold's have something more like a tiny laptop mouse. It senses your finger on it, and continues to move in the direction you hold it until you let go, or move in a different direction. If you put one of those on a rocker, you could even use it as a supplementary d-pad. It wouldn't be good for gaming (save for what a d-pad is used for in adventure games like selecting items) but it makes browsing easier, since it acts as a directional tab key.
