Anyone else thinking of purchasing that game. Looks great and has a good price, just need to purchase an eShop card.

I'm sort of on the wall about it, one i'm not really good at strategy games, but on the other hand I like RPGs. I heard somewhere this version has some bugs in it, is that true?

its a great game think of a very early Fire emblem .... but there is no perm death (you buy to bring them back)

cant really tell you how long it is yet.... the only way to grind is to wrap off maps and replay them (dont think there are any free battles any other way) you keep your exp an cash when you wrap

Yeah I have downloaded every Game Gear title so far from the eShop because I never owned one back in the day which makes them feel like new old school gems... Shining Force is bloody awesome mate the fullscreen feature FTW!

I was really looking forward to this game but I think I'll wait a bit before downloading it. I've already bought 10 games this month due to summer sales so I'm trying to stop buying more games before I finish some of older ones first. I love Shining Force 1 and 2 but I think I can wait a little more before trying out Sword of Hajya.

It's its, not it's.

Good game. Fire Emblem shows it up of course, but its nice to see how much and how little has changed in the genre over the years.

The glitches are that two magic spells are much stronger than they should be, whether its used by your party or the enemy. Ice 3 and I forget the other. May cause trouble in battles the enemy has these magics but I haven't got to that point yet.

I prefer the Dot To Dot screen resolution. Its small but I find the full screen resolution looks crappy, like a poor Commodore 64 game.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Is this a good game as my first Shining Force game? I like the genre and want to experience more of it but is this worth the asking price?

It's my first Shining Force game as well and I'm really enjoying it. It's simplistic but a heck of a lot of fun so far.

It's four chapters long...so I guess I'm around halfway through it? It's fun so far and I don't mind if it turns out to be short. I'm more likely to replay it then.

@Philip_J_Reed: It's apparently one of several parts of the Sega CD version of the game

Will NL be doing a review of this game at some point?

Well they have reviewed all downloads so far, so the better question is who is reviewing the game? Is it you Phil? :3

Ahh interesting.

And yep, we'll be reviewing it! It's not me though. I'm working through the Mega Man Zero reviews instead.

What I find weird is that this is the second part of the game

Thats good to know I am on the fence with this game and I want to see a review before getting it.

If you want a quick first impression, it's like the other Shining Force games so far. Nothing particularly unique yet but it is good

Well that means nothing to me, lol. I have never played a Shining Force game.
