Anybody getting Legend of the River King this week?
I don't think so. I don't like the general presentation of the game, especially when comparing it to Harvest Moon, it seems too messy - but that's a personal point. I'll have to look up some reviews when it comes out though to see how well the mechanics have aged.
After these games are released, I wonder what's next for 3DS VC? Maybe we'll find out at the next Nintendo Direct whihch is gonna happen in a few days...?
Games I'm playing currently: Legend of Zelda: A Link Betweeen Worlds, Tearaway
Games I'm excited for: Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros. 4, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8

There are still around 10 announced 3DS VC games that haven't been released yet.
We've also had weeks when we've had a sudden new game, so I guess that might happen a few times (In the months when they decide to actually release some D:).

There's another Nintendo Direct announced?

Well no but I mean think about it. A new Direct happens like every 3-4 weeks so yeah.

Main ones don't usually happen until the later half of even numbered months. While Wii U only Directs happen on the later half of odd number months. There's "Mini Nintendo Direct"s that can happen on any time for a single game but none of those are ever about the VC.

I thought the whole point of Nintendo Directs was that Nintendo could release info about their games whenever they felt like instead of being bound to expos :/ It seems a little counterintuitive to bind the Nintendo Directs to a schedule.
/ontopic I'll consider getting Legend of the River King just because of its premise. I like RPG's and fishing, so what's not to like about a fishing rpg?
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
@BarbieGurl777, basically a RPG is a game in which the player has control over character development and/or story (usually, but not always, with some sort of leveling system in place).
As the game progresses, you unlock a variety of rods, bait, tackle, ect to choose from, giving you (the player) a wide variety of choices to pick from, when confronted with your next fishing challenge. Also, in Legend of the River King, you encounter enemies randomly, and defeat them in turn based combat (except your enemies in this game, are dangerous wildlife such as spiders, snakes, and bears, instead of monsters).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
For anyone interested, on YouTube, CGR (Classic Game Room) has a review of Legend of the River King up (they're playing the actual GBC version). I watched it a few months ago, and it sold me on the game.

I've actually already linked their Harvest Moon review, so I guess it's only fitting. :3
For those of you too lazy to get off your Nintendolife here's the video.
Not as good a reviewer in my opinion, but whatevs.

@Magicarp : just let the fish stops swimming himself and press and hold A or B to reel the line in until you hear a sound telling your line is stressed (the fish appears to go back at this moment) so release A or B and wait again for the fish to stop, etc...
I'm sure Europe will get these before NA. I'm curious to try both of them.
Oh well. I guess the superior VC releases in Europe are fair considering how long it takes Atlus games to be released over there (they still don't have Overclocked yet, do they?)

NA did just get Mega Man 3 this week. Not to mention pretty much all of the best retail titles for 3DS/Wii U are coming to Europe last. :3
online games include: Mario Kart 8, Mario Kart 7, Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS, Super Mario Maker and Splatoon.
Try out my Super Mario Maker stages at well! Here's one to start : F98B-0000-0022-0753

Hey don't be mean to Europe. Even though I stil live in North America don't make Europeans feel bad just because they sometimes get games a little later than us. We get games later than them too... like Kirby's Dream Land 2 on 3DS Virtual Console.
