My 3ds has a cracked screen and doesn't power on. I wanna send it to nintendo to get it fixed but i;m worried that they might have to format the system. If my nintendo id gets formatted is it gone forever?
No, but you risk possibly losing any data on your system. I would back it up to a PC beforehand. Your ID will not be lost, as it's saved on Nintendo's servers. But any save data could be lost.
