I'm so hyped about this 3dsware game, I had to make my own topic.
Anybody know when this game will be released?
Anyone already played it in japanese?
What is the price going to be?
Are you as hyped as me?

ETC!

Imexpecting the summer as that's when most of the download should come put. Expecting it to be at e3 and in a eshop reel.

Why are you expecting it to be so high? Still, I'm looking forward to it, regardless of the price.

Because it's a retail game and Nintendo said they won't be priced differently just for being on the eShop.

It's retail in Japan only. It's going to be an eShop exclusive in western territories. Because of what it is, I always figured it would be higher than the average eShop title, but I'm not expecting $30 (I was thinking $15-$20).

Also (for digital retail in general), Nintendo won't release their games cheaper. That doesn't necassarily apply to 3rd party games.

You misquoted Iwata. He said Nintendo's games weren't gonna be priced differently. Other publishers can price them however they feel like it.

Anywho, I'm excited to see what this game is like. Seems niche, but I'm willing to try it anyway

Also, are first person JRPGs (like this one) generally more difficult than other JRPGs? I know the Shin Megami Tensei series is supposed to be difficult, but I don't know if that's the case for all 1st person JRPGs.

I'm used to the Mario RPGs, Final Fantasies, and Kingdom Hearts, so I want to know what I'd be getting into.

Technically, what you're referring to aren't called "First Person RPGs"; they're called Dungeon Crawlers. The genre thrusts the player into a first-person perspective and tasks them to navigate a (usually) difficult dungeon full of traps, monsters, and rewards. A recent example of this type of game is Legend Of Grimrock. As for the genre, it's difficulty usually ranges from high-difficulty medium to mildly sadistic, especially when mechanics like perma-death and near-undetectable traps are present.

EDIT: Also, add to the genre that it had the first game to have 100% randomly generated content, with many following after it.

Hmm, I don't think I'll mind if it's difficult (as long as it's not unreasonably so), but I hope it's not too randomized, as I personally can't stand randomized dungeons (that's my main gripe against the upcoming Heroes of Ruin).

That article is referring to Unchained Blades Exiv, the sequal to the original Unchained Blades (which has yet to release in the west).

the Oct 18 date is the sequal's release in Japan.

There'd actually be nothing to compare it to. Anyways, last game they released as Digital only was $20, and it had a lot less to localize than this game, which has full voice acting. I don't think they can afford to charge less than that.

If they charge more than $15 I'll skip it.. that's my final answer.

The release date on this game was pushed back to summer, which sucks... I hate delays, especially delays that when the final game releases it still needs patching up.

Hopefully Xseed will deliver.

i'm VERY excited for this and code of princess, glad both of those games are coming to america!!

I can't wait for Smash Bros for 3DS.

TheDreamingHawk

Mickeymac was right. It will cost 30$ for the PSP version coming next week, while the 3DS version will be "in 2012". Probably not a delay, it nay come in July most likely, but if it isn't coming then, it better not be due to New super (Easy) Mario Bros 2.

Oh gosh. I sure hope we don't have to wait for NSMB2 to be released since it's the first online retail game to get this. I'd much rather play this. Hopefully the 3DS release isn't too far behind the psp release.

I doubt it,since Unchain bladres is digital only like Order up. It probably will arribe in July is my guess.

But if NSMB2 is the reason, curse you koopalings!
