I'm going to Legoland tomorrow and since a lot of little kids tend to have 3DS's more ( my little brother knows 6 kids in elementary school that have 3DS's) I hope to get some streetpasses. So anyone have any luck at theme parks?

I have heard some people have great success at places like Disneyland and Disneyworld but other than that I am not sure. My friend took his 3DS to him at Disneyland last year but he ended up getting more streetpasses at the hotel than the park.

I am heading to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk myself this Sunday and will be there till next Wednesday. I am hoping to get some streetpasses myself. When I come back I will be sure to post my results if any.

Disneyland was pretty good for StreetPass hits. If I remember correctly, I had 17 StreetPass hits wandering around the park the last time I was there. You just need to make sure to check your 3DS periodically because it caps off at 10 hits for StreetPass Mii Plaza.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk was a bust for me back when I went in January.

I did pretty well at Disney World last year. My kids also brought theirs so we had three 3DS's worth of streetpass hits. It was pretty fun to compare since we wouldn't always have the same people, which is weird considering we were standing next to each other the whole time. I've always brought a ziploc baggy with me to protect things like my cell phone and other electronic devices from the water rides. I'd definately recommend you do the same just in case.

I've been to the ever-exciting Dollywood twice with my 3DS. Didn't get a single streetpass either time. So sad.

Went to Disney World last year in August, just after the 3DS price drop, and got something like 30+ hits in six days. I'm going again this August and now that 3DS has had a full year and a holiday season behind it I'm expecting to get many more. And as Tasuki said, you can get a lot just walking around your resort or hotel too. If you're flying, walk up and down the airport terminals for streetpasses while you wait.

@Sykotek: Hmmm somehow I am expecting it to be a bit better at Santa Cruz since I will be going in July and not January

@Magi: Thanks for the ziploc tip I totally didnt think of that. I will make sure and do that.

Due to a family emergency, we are going to the hospital and going to Legoland on Saturday.

@Tasuki: Haha, totally! I was just saying January was a total bust for me because it surprised me, I went on a weekend and was expecting at least 1 hit...it's an amusement park! You should definitely get a least a couple hits with all the kids out for summer break around the Bay Area.

...oh, and to chime in about the Ziploc bag thing, that works well, I've had one for my 3DS since I bought it back at launch, in addition to the few times you need to worry about water, it keeps out the dust and pocket lint out of all the exposed ports, etc.

Nice. Did you get those around the park, around the hotel or a bit of both?

I went to the How To Train Your Dragon Arena Spectacular back when it was on, got about 14 StreetPasses. Best thing about going there except the merchandise

@Tasuki
I got them around the park since they don't have a hotel at the moment.

@Nibelilt
Cool. When was that? 2011?

Yeah its hit or miss for me, usually I do get quite a bit like 7 last time I went to Universal Studios. Today I actually got 5 from seeing an IGN free screening of Brave, but usually thats hit or miss. Back in March I went to Wondercon (Comic Convention in Anahiem and actually got over a hundred in one day! But I think that a lot of that was from the many 3DS's set up at the Nintendo booth. I really can't wait for Comic-Con in about 3 weeks!

Was it the one (Universal Studios) in Cali. or Florida. Either way, that's good to know since I'm going to Universal Studios (Cali.) in July.

@Morphtroid
How much did you get in Las Vegas? I'm going their in June/July and any tips for where to go. I'm gonna go to Circus Circus and (probably) the pawn shop in the show Pawn Stars.
