Has anyone read much more about Putty Squad? I heard that at Eurogamer it was announced as a launch title for PS4. GAME have the PS4, Vita and 360 versions dated for the same day. It was also on a stand at Eurogamer running on 3DS! It must be happening but when?

I know this is going back a few months but I was wondering if anyone else had heard anything?
System 3 had been hitting the social networks hard until about Christmas. They'd even responded to me on Facebook saying that a digital version had been submitted to Nintendo, this was back in mid December. I'm really keen to play it and I've only heard good things about the port for other systems.

Thanks for the link. I saw some footage of this game on another site before coming here, never heard of it until then. What I saw, along with your thoughts, has me interested. Price is a bit steep, but still keen.

Thanks tigermask. Good review. I enjoyed the original on the Amiga but for the 3ds download I was not sure if the price was a bit high. I don't like downloading games because there is no trade in value. But there is a hard copy available and mine arrived yesterday.
I agree with your review and from the few level I played it looks to be a good game. I also read that there are to be more levels added as downloads. The hard copy is worth the price £19.99 because it will have a trade in value.
I have James Pond for the 3ds and I would like to see some other Amiga games redone for the 3ds. May be Flimbo's Quest, The Adams Family, More james Pond and even Zool.
I think it's £17.99 on eShop but I'd been desperate to play it for the better part of the year.
System 3 are doing something with DLC but they stated that they would only announce something once the game is released on all of the planned platforms (Think that was PS4, PS3, PSVita and 3DS). I'd tweeted them a few times and some of the hints are pointing to Super Putty levels from the old SNES game, which I would LOVE! I actually bought the DS version of James Pond after reading that last comment, I forgot how awesome that game was.
I've stumbled over a couple of other bugs for Putty Squad that I was going to write up and send to System 3 (Who knows if they'll listen and respond, they've been pretty good so far though). They include:
3D effect not working correctly on some levels (Noticed this on Dr. Sushi's lab)
The trophy data doesn't load when you boot the game up.
You can't load the game through the 'Load Game' option on the main menu. Doing this causes the game to crash. You can load it just by clicking the other modes though

I will look out for the bugs and I have bookmarked your blog. It would be good to know if System 3 respond.
I am suprised that we don't see more retro games redone for the 3ds. It is an ideal platform these games.
With putty I think it would have been better if they had just used one 3ds shoulder button to fire with. Which would fire in the direction Putty is facing. Just a small gripe though.
